This poem was composed as a potential piece of an ongoing one shot project by Rain Fire of RF and AG which should see release very soon.
You walk a noble path, lit by heavenly stars forever afire
The world you know, it’s scale you realize ever higher
Yet your legs, they ne’er tire
Imbued they be by the Moon, guardian of eternal fire
In moonlight dwells the greatest key
Vast and vibrant and yawning,
Laden with wonders, delights, and fruits of knowing,
For each you labour the reaping and the drawing,
In moonlight dwells the greatest key
Along the path then, a tempest does blow;
Without warning, portent, or sign to know
Oblivion pervades; no longer is path or stars aglow,
In moonlight dwells the greatest key
Path and stars fade; new paths and sights enter being,
Alien yet familiar things, each and every gleaming
Askew, you lose grasp of what is dreaming
In moonlight dwells what was and must be
Paths now meander and squabble; a cruel, confusing mire
But lo, a light still glows, heed it for it’s no liar
A forever burning fire,
Whose spark the Moon does inspire
In moonlight dwells the greatest key
