After struggling for two weeks with couplets, the The Guard of a Different Stripe is finally out. This is the result of threatening to write a story in Zecora's first-person perspective on Discord when folks complained about how difficult her dialogue is. You know what? It very much is! Well, I drew my interpretation of young Fancy Pants and quite enjoyed it so here, on the other side of the spectrum is Fleur de Lis as a filly with her parents.
As you see, her height and weight have been mostly consistent throughout her life and while that isn't the whole reason she is the way she is, it did contribute to that.

So my family and I went to see Grandma today and her health has improved a lot. She was actually able to get out of her wheel chair and move herself to her bed (she had some help of course but at least she was able to do it without feeling any pain). She even had a slice of lemon cream pie. 
Goals for Story
So I am hoping to have at least four chapters done by October. With the help of my proofreaders, editors and friends this should work out I think.
On Friday, I spent six hours stuck at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport when a computer glitch grounded flights to London. Fortunately my new laptop has a long battery life, and I had plenty of new story ideas to work on…

Fleur has always had nightmares about being ugly. And though this may seem shallow, she has her reasons.
Namely the fact that ugliness is something society has very little tolerance for.
As a foal she was bullied constantly both in school and out for being what they saw as 'ugly' and it's something she has never been able to forget.
One of the fundamental eccentricities of fanfiction is the way it is published. Because everything tends to be self-published, centralized, and loosely moderated, removing a story from circulation is a lot easier than in traditional publishing. Taking down a story is often a simple click of a button.

It seems like only a few weeks ago that OnionPie was gearing-up to release his masterpiece, What Is Left, and I was one of several pre-readers who was contributing edits and suggestions. But apparently it's been more like 2 1/2 years, and now What Is Left is being featured by the Royal Canterlot Library. 
It's currently September 21st where I am, for at least another 5 hours or so. But, I am a impatient man. And Halloween, the Undisputed Best Holiday Ever deserves to be celebrated more often than once a year! So, I am starting my season early. I've already got a bag of horrible, horrible, wonderful candy corn by my side, and I'm listening to the Luigi's Mansion and Beetlejuice soundtracks on loop til November.
