It was the best thing ever. Seriously, this was everything that made me fall in love with MLP. The last time we had anything this great was when Discord was a villain. My mind has been blown so thoroughly that I've lost the capacity to express emotion. In my head, I'm saying this in Maud's voice. If you haven't watched it yet, go do it. Like, right now.

So, within the last few weeks I hit a few fantastic firsts. They're small, but hey! They're cool.

Howdy folks! So, today I've got something special. I'm not sure how many people will be into this, but I think it might be pretty fun. But perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. So, my illustrator for The Iron Horse, Colby Green, aka "Greenfinger," told me a story recently, and it gave me an idea. It's an amusing little tale that we thought to share with you. So here, in his own words, is that story:

1. Tell us about your current project(s) – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?
Current active project is a Jinglemas entry I can say nothing about. But of course I'm sure we mean the likes of my chaptered stories.
Those who frequent Quills and Sofas know that I can be pretty demanding in my critiques. It's not often I give stories a 5/5 rating, even if they're from very proficient authors. Even when I do, it's very rare that I don't have any improvements to offer at all.

So by now Episode 10 of Season 7, "A Royal Problem" has aired in Canada, though not in the US. At the time of writing this, it's not long after it aired in the land of pine and poutine, and rather than getting spoiled, I've kept up on those releases.

So hey all of you. I don't know if you all know but I started a new story because I felt I had moved past where I was on my previous work here. In many ways I have but most importantly was my mentality. I feel in someways a different person than what I was a year ago. I hope my writing has improved, which I know it has but how much is so difficult to say, but more importantly is things are looking up for me in my life outside of writing. Still not sure how I feel about Thanksgiving. Okay, so the holiday season is over, and it's a brand new year. With that being said, I'm back home and back to both following up with medical appointments and working on writing.
Chapter 11 is, for the most part, finished, and chapter 12 is largely fleshed out. However, so much of these two play into each other that finishing 12 required rewriting portions of 11, which worked out for the best (I did have some down time while on vacation).
