I'm either really getting what you said or I'm being really thick right now.
The most positive thing that I can say about it is that it did provide alot of fuel for fanfics.
If I'm being cynical then I can say that the backlash to it has been hysterical to see. Everyone in the fandom has been going mad (in a bad way) about the film.
I was just kind of meh about it, it was in no way on par with its predecessors.
So, what can you say about it?

I never encountered a negative reaction to Friendship Games, just that it was a step down from Rainbow Rocks. Although everyone seems to think the final stand-off with Sunset and Twilight was really rocking.
