    Just a small blog(also vectors!)

A few days ago, Maid to Serve Chapter Two was posted for all to see and, honestly, the whole time I was thinking "Oh jeez, please don't raise the pitch forks and torches on me." Glad to say that it wasn't as bad as I had predicted.

    Opps!

Somehow the story got chopped up in a few places when I transferred it from Google Docs. Don't worry though, I just updated it. Everything should be fixed now.

    Sorry! :twilightblush:

Might want to look under the Christmas Tree again...

Cause there's another gift for you, and this time it's from your good ol' Uncle Corpsly. A new chapter of Maid to Serve, just what you were asking for, wrapped up in a nice little wrapping paper and a cute little bow.

Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you enjoy it. :)

    On a side note:

In Loving Memory of George Michael

George Michael passed away today at the age of 53... and it's not a hoax.

First it was David Bowie, then it was Prince, now Michael...

Rest in Peace George, your music always cheered me up whenever I was feeling down.

    ...

This has been and always will be one of my most favorite songs growing up...

Howdy Stranger! This is Hauser, and I've got some news for you.

Skip to the end for the TL;DR version if you want to save some time.

I didn't get the job at my mother's place.

BUT! The manager did recommend me to another store branch that's owned by the same company and it's only a mile away from the store, which is closer to my home. Not only did he recommend me to them, he's also allowed me to use him as reference so there is a definite chance I will get the job. Sure, I might make $3 less than what I made up in DC, but at least I'll be making money.

Now, onto the news.

I've gotten plenty of sleep the past few days and I feel refreshed and charged up. However, I still haven't written anything on Maid to Serve.

...

Not a surprise to you folks? Well, I don't blame you.

Moving on to the second half of the blog. It's true, I have a story idea that's been roaming around my head for a week now. It involves changelings, but not in the way you think.

The idea of a human being transported to Equestria and turned into a changeling is a common one in the fields of FiMFiction. Now, some of them are good stories and they have excellent plots(kek), but over time it tends to grow stale and gets even less interesting. Several stories on the site tend to parallel other stories in similar nature, most of the time they involve a human-turned-changeling doing the righteous act of good, others the exact opposite. And these stories focus on the character and how he deals with the sudden transgression from one species to another and the problems that follow.

What I have in mind for a changeling story is much more complex; instead of our protagonist being transported to Equestria as a changeling, he stays on Earth and is transformed into one.

Not impressed yet? Well, what if I told you that instead of being turned into a pony-changeling he ends up as an anthro-changeling, along with a significant amount of humans around the world?

V-This has spoilers, so tread carefully.

I'm not looking to write a story around the idea of him coming to terms with his transformation. I would much rather write the impact other changelings and humans will have on him and how they will be the cause of his upbringing from a boring human to a changeling hero. It's not about him starting a revolution, it's about him stopping one. He's not attempting to become the villain, but certain actions he makes will make everyone else view him as one.

I don't know much about how I'm going to have it play out, I tend to let the pieces fall in place as I write the story. I'm just looking for a realistic take on the concept of changelings on Earth, the impact it has on the world, and how things tend to go from one thing to another.

TL;DR: I got recommended to a job, I feel better after getting a good amount of sleep, haven't written anything for my first story, and now I want to write a story about anthro-changelings on Human Earth.

Well, hopefully that gave you some insight as to what's going on currently. I have free time and I'm going to use it wisely.

Thanks to those who took the time to read this blog and understanding a few things. I thank you guys for the support and I hope to impress you with future updates.

Hasta La Vista, baby.
