So, for some crazy reason, I suddenly have a few more followers than I did about a week ago. Oh yeah, probably because I wrote this thing.
Today's story doesn't play around when it comes to adorable-yet-poignant pony portrayals.

When trying to focus on her studies, Sunset Shimmer is stuck watching an annoying little filly who just won't let her study.
This is your final warning, Plem, go 'way
Really. Finally. Just wow!
Well, it seems folks are pretty happy with My Fluttering Heart on the whole. It was fun coming up with a personality for a seven-and-a-half year old Flurry Heart, as well as packing as much foreshadowing into Flurry Heart’s perspective as I could. Not to mention the dad jokes. Thanks to everyone who has read that story, and thanks especially to you who talked to me about it; I appreciate it.
So, if you're like me and know Twilight is the cutest, most adorable little book horse, egghead, then you may like this.
First off, sorry about the late installment. Health issues on the team, and hardware issues. Anyway, Moon Dancer is back after the ruckus she started in the prologue and being somewhat background afterwards. This is the same Moon Dancer who is Celestia's ward in Sisters in All but Blood, but 599 days later in that story and having had a couple years to get over... well, what's in this
As some of y'all might recall that Aurora Dancer is based on the good ole unreliable (top heavy) Cleveland Class Cruiser. You might know that is a light cruiser. Y’all might also recall that she is classified as a Heavy Cruiser.
This is because….
Two of the ponies get treated like dress up dolls and humiliated.
(Insert bad joke about this scene here)
This is a drawing of a scene from Paradise the Librarian's collab story for New Years.
Also, the only pony in this picture that belongs to me is Colors. The rest belong to: Paradise the Librarian, Daffodil, Vanilla Mocha, Lore-Lei, and Summer Dancer.
I totally forgot about this until the night of January 31. It’ll probably go up a day or two late. Oh well. I’ll live.
To my surprise, I actually did a hell of a lot better than I expected in my monthly word count. In fact...

"Nothing's the same anymore." - Jeffery Sinclair - Babylon 5 - Chrysalis
It occurred to me the other day.
We now have four alternate Twilight Sparkle characters.
Trixie Lulamoon.
Sunset Shimmer.
Starlight Glimmer.
Moon Dancer.
Twilight Sparkle could have become any one of these characters, had she made a different choice in her life. It is for this reason that they make such good personal antagonists.
Heck, even their names are similar to Twilight Sparkle.
By that logic, had each of them made different choices, they might have become princesses!
Had this thought going through my head and I'd like to share.
All of Twilight's rivals represent directions Twilight's life could have gone if she'd not been such a faithful student and then good friend.

“Hey, Twi?”
“What is it, Moondancer?”
“The Mirror is on the fritz again.”
“What? What happened?”
“Oh, after Sunset went home, I glanced at it heading to the West Library… and it showed me something… strange.”
“What kind of strange?”
