You know what's coming next, but not right away. There are a couple things I have to get to first, including an editing job/rewrite of a friend's story and adding a new chapter to one of my other existing works.
The latest chapter release of Five Star Service was, by most measures, a success. It featured for a couple hours for the first time in perhaps a dozen chapters, and gained nine faves for it. However, it also picked up three downvotes, which never happened on a single chapter save the first. That's the problem with featuring; it gets your more notice but you risk more downvotes as well... and downvotes tend to affect your story rating much more than upvotes.

Things are certainly on the move today for not only are you going to see the epic new piece by the incredible CountessMRose but you are also going to get an epic scene to go with it. So, I released a new short story! This one is called The Long Death and is a Nightmare Moon focused story. I made this short little story as a little bit of an apology. As the story I mentioned at the end of my last blog post is taking a bit longer than expected to be finished. For today’s worldbuilding exercise, let’s look at something that is at once universal and distinctive. Everyone eats food. At the same time, eating unfamiliar food can be a very alien experience. Food is a big part of cultural and geographic identity. Real life cuisine has countless gradations and variations. The ingredients and resources available give each real life culture a distinct history and evolution.
In the minds of writing new stories here, sequels and the starts to new multiple chapter stories especially.
