So yeah, that estimate I gave for the next chapter of Even Stars can Fall was a bit optimistic. I still haven't shown it to my proofreader partially because it never really felt like the right time to bring it up. In other news I picked up a new shift at work, so now I work Saturday-Sunday 10am-3pm and Monday-Wednesday 5pm-10pm. I did realize that I had to drop a class or failure was inevitable so now I have about an hour and 15 minutes of my life back. I'm not gonna give a permanent set date
I'm making a post here for the users that are currently following me. Indescrete Shipping is coming along nicely. I know updates have been getting a bit more spread out, but it's been a struggle to get time to dedicate to it. That being said, When Sweet Turns to Sour (Part 2) should be ready to go by the weekend. I am also planning on there being a third part to tie up loose ends from part 1.
I feel I owe an explanation for my less than consistent upload schedule.
To be honest, I see writing as a secondary hobby. I enjoy doing it, and I also enjoy the feedback I get from it, but if I had to choose between struggling to write dialogue or playing a match of my favorite game, I think you get the point.
Some of you may recall earlier this year when I was able to upload 2000+ word chapters DAILY, which right now seems insane to me. So I had to come up with an explanation.
I'm back at my dad's house a couple days early... better computer, but I have to work for him until I get a real job. He pays well... but I still owe him money for my phone, and I'll ow him another $60 next month... so I'm working off the debt until it's paid off.
Power is not a scary word. Evil is a scary word, but it’s because of decades of conditioning that has led to us associating power with evil, because power is always used against us. Power in the right hands is a force for good, but it must be in the hands of reliable and trustworthy people. So don’t wait for someone else to do it! Make yourself into a trustworthy person and exercise what power you have in order to make the world a better place. It is your obligation as a child of God to prepare
The blog title is simply a quote from the Ministry song I happen to be listening to whilst I am on my lunch break from work. The song is - of course - "Just One Fix." Lest it be said my music playlist is not confusing, the next song on the list is Don Henley with "All She Wants To Do Is Dance." Listen to these gears crunch!
Heyo guys.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and a happy new year. So, yes, still no new chapters of this story. I am sorry for the long wait, but do not worry, it is still very much on my mind, but life hasn't exactly given me the time to work or write very much. This week I have to go to court, don't worry nothing about me, but I have to be there for a work injury case, blah blah.
So I just started on chapter 15 and decided to leave larger gaps in between text to make reading it a lot easier.
I'm at 581 words at the moment.
Have no idea how long I'll make this chapter!
Ok, so, the company I work for has this company social network. For the most part it's used for anyone who works for the company to ask questions and answer questions about work related issues. But there are groups that anyone could join to talk about movies, video games, and other stuff. Naturally, there's one for FIM. After chatting on there, I found someone who actually is on this site. They've suggested joining a group and posting my stories there. So, I'll looking into joining a group.
Hey everyone!
I'm really sorry for the silence for the past several months, but I've been having issues trying to write Small Town Life for a while now. Early on, I was trying to make a buffer like I had before, so I could do regular updates, but then I hit a wall with the current episode, and decided to release the episodes I'd made up to that point.
Heyo guys, I hope everybody had a lovely Oktober, and is looking forward to December!
Anyway, I wanted to give you guys an update what is going on with me. I've gotten a new job, and unlike before, I work early in the morning, so I have to get up at 04:45 in the morning.
I've only worked there for two weeks, and I am still getting used to my new routine.
So a friend of mine looked at the story and, you're not going to believe it, there is still some work to be done. The key item he noticed, at its something that flew way over my head, was dialogue variation. So far (according to my friend), its: "...." x person noted, "....", y person said <- where's the variation? It doesn't feel like full, fleshed out story now that I think about it. So here's what's going to happen: I am going to finish my current editing process with the plan of attack I
Okay, first off sorry it took me so long to get to work on this, but I've had my mind occupied by my other multi-chapter stories. (I'm looking at you Going Deep Under and The Magic of... Music?) Anyways, the point is I'm finally getting on the ball for it, and if all goes well, it should be released in a few days. Here's the basic description to hopefully generate some excitement:
2016, as of today you have earned your "Shittiest Year of the Century" Award with flying colors. We don't even have to check the other 84.
What's there to be said? You were clearly gunning for it so damned hard!
I hope you're proud of yourself
Thought I've give you all an update on my status. Things have been less than good, to be honest. My old shifts used to be great. I'd have work from 10 AM to 5:30 PM around 4 times a week and have the rest of the day to my self and I'd still have a lot of energy.
Since some changes have happened, we had to condense and cut hours in some places and extend them elsewhere. I went from that shift to 12:30 to 9:00 PM
Yeah. That has been eating into my personal life, if I'm honest.
Today's Being a Better Writer post is ... available at Unusual Things for the time being due to internet access limitations on my end. It's the best I can offer at the moment.
So click that link and give it a read! This week's topic is a good one!
Before we jump into things I want to apologize for being a lump when it comes to writing. It’s been over a year and a half since I wrote anything and frankly I’m not sure when or if that will change. I still have stories I want to tell but I’m too damn lazy with the down time I have to actually do it. I know, “excuses, excuses” right? I had someone follow me the other week and all I could think was "You poor soul."
