I have returned, sort of · 5:03pm Mar 11th, 2016
So yeah, that estimate I gave for the next chapter of Even Stars can Fall was a bit optimistic. I still haven't shown it to my proofreader partially because it never really felt like the right time to bring it up. In other news I picked up a new shift at work, so now I work Saturday-Sunday 10am-3pm and Monday-Wednesday 5pm-10pm. I did realize that I had to drop a class or failure was inevitable so now I have about an hour and 15 minutes of my life back. I'm not gonna give a permanent set date for chapter 2, but know that I'm still working on it with what time I have (a lot of which is revisions when I reread and am unhappy with how a scene turns out) and until I can get it through my proofreader I won't publish. Also after chapter 2 is out I might take a bit of a break from ESF, I just haven't been able to muster that same passion for it and feel like writing something else might help. Once I stop focusing on it so much I may get some better ideas.
In other news, I have a few cons I'm planning on attending, no pony cons yet cuz I still don't have a license and there aren't any I know of in Tallahassee but I have a friend who's willing to take me to some anime cons out of town this year. The in-town con I go to is Freecon which is free admission and is held in the FSU Oglesby Student Union building from March 18th-20th this year. My proofreader friend is running a booth, selling her art and another friend of mine will be selling his anime. I realize probably not many people will read this but I feel like journaling a bit and who knows, maybe someone who reads this will be there. Just in case: I wear glasses, have shoulder length curly black hair, a bright orange fox hat most of the time, and orange slip-on shoes.
Other cons I may be attending include Megacon in Orlando, Florida from May 26-29, Supercon in Fort Lauderdale, Miami from July 1-4 (probably won't make this one or at least won't be able to stay the full time, the 4th is my dad's bday), Metrocon in Tampa, Florida from July 21-24, Dragoncon in Atlanta, Georgia from September 2-5, and Holiday Matsuri in Orlando, Florida from December 16-18. I'll try to keep whoever cares to know updated on the situation as these dates come closer but I can pretty much guarantee Freecon and Megacon.
