They'd grown up together, gone to school together, and Shift was even there for the spunky daredevil's audition for the Wonderbolts. Things begin to change, however, when she begins to act differently around him...

This is my first romance fiction, made with Spitfire because there isn't ever enough Spitfire. It's mostly a project I threw together in my spare time, but I will try to work on continuing it when I get the chance. I do have to admit that I kind of suck at creating romantic tension.

Spring has come and gone, Graves remains in Ponyville, and for once, all is well. No monsters to slay, no damsels to rescue, nothing: just nice, relaxing days passing in easy leisure. Or, at least as relaxing as Ponyville ever gets. A collection of short stories, the marshal takes a break from fighting and learns a little more about his friends and neighbors, one lazy summer day at a time.

The fifth story in The Journey of Graves.

A week has passed since the ill-fated events in Rarity's boutique. The encounter has left a deep impression on Graves as he grows colder and more distant than ever before. Rarity, feeling responsible, wants desperately to make amends, but the multitude of fears and worries plaguing her have made this next to impossible. Even with the help of their friends, it's going to take a miracle to untangle this knot.

Capriccio, a student at Canterlot's Royal School of Music, has been studying in Ponyville for a while now, but he's returning to Canterlot for a very special event...or at least that's what everyone's telling him. He doesn't see what the big deal is.

*Update: If you're wondering why I changed the cover image and removed a certain pony from the character listing...let's just say that the way the story is progressing in my head has surprised me a little bit, and I felt it would be better suited to proceed along a different path entirely than the one I had originally conceived. This might disappoint some of you, or might make you happier. Either way, stick around. Hopefully it'll be just as much fun for you to read is it will be for me to write.

Quiet, distant, confused, alone. These are only a fraction of the locked up personality of Brightcloud, a pegasis living in the peaceful town of Ponyville. He dosent speak much or really socialize with anypony. Just sort of keeps to himself and his routine. it was the same every day. and he liked it this way. But something about this seemingly normal day hd something not so normal behind it. Something about it was different, but he couldnt figure out what. So he just decides to move on with his day, thinking its only his imagination. His imagination..........that was all too real.

The prologe is from a third person view, the chapters after that will be from a first person view. Constructive criticism is appreciated and always welcome.
