Twilight discovers that the winter solstice and the new moon are happening at the same time. Exactly the same time.

With the magic of Equestria in danger, Twilight must hurry to Canterlot and save the princesses from... well... Something. Probably.

Twilight Sparkle decided to use the Time Travelling spell to study how pony society used to be like centuries before Equestria's founding. While there, she found a familiar white coated Earth Pony filly with a curious name. Lost and her home burned down, the filly found herself under Twilight's care with a promise of either finding her a new home or searching for her parents. Twilight will learn more than just her history lesson while on their adventures.

How does magic really work?

Traditionally, a unicorn would learn most of his or her magic through study and experimentation. But what is the limit of a unicorns power?
What if this limit could be exceeded. What if the magic every unicorn is accustomed to using is only the first stage. The first path.
There is another path. The second path.

Fluttershy asks Twilight to check out a weird orange flower she saw. Unfortunately, the flower turns out to be dangerous and Twilight becomes paralyzed. What are her friends going to do? Will they be able to help her?

“I want what’ll make you happy, not what’ll make me happy.”

Cold, uncertain, and distressed, Spike climbs a mountain to find his new home. And while he does, memories of a certain somepony swirl around in his head—even in his sleep. And although he is far away from that somepony, it turns out he is closer to that somepony than he realizes.

Always.

Celestia fails to save Equestria after Nightmare Moon's encounter. Ever since then, Celestia was nowhere to be seen. A thousand years has passed. A pony named Twilight Sparkle, a captain of the royal knights finds a book about the elements of harmony and the 2 princesses who ruled this land together. She chooses to find where Princess Celestia has disappeared to and save the corrupted princess.

Instead of banishing Nightmare Moon, Celestia successfully separates Luna and the nightmare, and both then seal it in the moon, but the stain of both acts are too much for the Princesses and both perish, but not before giving the prophecy of their return. 1000 years later is a changed Equestria, a splintered government, no advanced school of magic, difficult weather patterns, and a looming threat from the Moon. Can the reborn Princesses be found in time? Is friendship still the best hope for a happy tomorrow? The more things change...

Set shortly after the end of Series 4, still reeling from the destruction of Golden Oaks, Twilight is trying to settle into her new palace when she and Spike stumble upon something that threatens the already tattered fabric of her life.

The time has come for Celestia and Luna to move on to the next state of being, and for the younger princesses to step into new roles. The time of succession is at hand. But change bring new challenges for Equestria.

It is time for a second Age of Miracles, or a second Age of Chaos. It depends on who the winners are, because the winners will write the histories.

Twilight Sparkle is dead.

After getting stabbed through the heart during a trade negotiation with the Griffon Kingdoms, Twilight Sparkle finds herself in the afterlife, where she sees her worst nightmare: Discord. Discord, however, gives her the chance to change her fate, by going back in time and changing events. But will Twilight have to suffer the consequences of her actions? Will the future change for the better, or will Twilight have to go back again to set things right?
