I made sure Spike wouldn't make a sound once I pass the guards who were guarding the castle's gate. "Be sure to be quiet Spike," I whispered, "They'll suspect something.." I trotted to my room and looked around when I noticed Spike walking down the hallway. My eyes widened as I quickly ran to him and use my magic to pick him up by the tail and forcefully pushed him into my bag and covered his head with the cover of the bag.
Spike let out a whimper as I ran into the room and locked the door, I put the bag down and opened it. "What were you doing?!" I whispered in an angry tone when suddenly I noticed Spike had a tear in his eye. I blinked...Maybe I was being too forceful on him? I gently pat his head..."Sorry...I was scared somepony would find you..." Spike looked up at me as he slowly stopped whimpering... "Captain Sparkle! The princess wants to talk to you!" A pony from outside spoke. I looked and picked Spike up, "Wait for a moment!" I walked to my room and put Spike on the bed and put some sandwiches on the bed, "Eat up, don't go anywhere else," I said as I lock the windows, and walk out of the door.
Spike looked at me confused as he takes a small bite of a sandwich. I trot to him and gently nuzzle him, "Take care...Don't do anything stupid." I whisper as I smile and walk out the room, locking the door.
I walked to the door and opened it, "I'll be heading there." I looked at the amoured pony as I trot to the room where the Princess' throne is...I used my magic to open the door, the first thing I see was the princess herself... Nightmare Moon. I looked at her confidently as I closed the doors. I started trotting to her then knelt down to bow...
"What is it princess?" I asked.
"I already told you...You call me Nightmare Moon." She growled softly. She said I was the only one to have permission to call her Nightmare Moon after defeating the Sergent of the soldiers.
"Sorry Princ- Nightmare Moon, I'm just used to calling you princess..." I said as I stood up straight. "May I ask why'd you called me here?"
Nightmare Moon stood up as she trots to me, "Guards now!"
In a split second guards appear out of nowhere and starts to bring me to the ground, keeping me still, making sure I can't move.
My eyes widened, I couldn't see anything but the floor. But I could hear the princess walking to me when I noticed her hoofs.
"WHAT'S GOING ON?!!" I demanded to know.
"I've sense danger in you. And I don't want any risks so I'll be taking your magic away..."
My magic?! No...I need it. I need it..."I AM NO DANGER!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"I'm sorry Twilight, but you are." I felt her horn touch the top of my head. I squirmed, no luck...I couldn't get out...Then suddenly "P-Princess! A dragon's in the castle!" I could hear a whimper...It sounded like...Spike!?
"Kill it," Nightmare Moon ordered.
My heart skipped a beat as I hear a sword slip through its case... "NO!" I screamed as a my magic suddenly makes a huge force making all the guard ponies get thrown away along with the princess. I look around to find Spike being held by another guard pony with a sword, staring at me with shock and fear.
"LET GO OF THE DRAGON!" I growled as I slowly walk to the guard pony.
He immediately dropped Spike and ran off, I quickly ran to Spike carrying him with my magic. "Lets go!" I said as Nightmare Moon stood up. "GET HER!" I looked as I ran to my room, I quickly locked my door and barricaded it then started to get my bag, my sword, shield and helmet. I put Spike in my bag and closed the bag. Not completely but only half. As the guard ponies start to knock my door open I looked out my window..."This might hurt spike..." I quickly ran to my window shattering it into pieces, I heard a small squeal inside my bag as I land on my back, "Oof?!" I groaned as I stood up shakily, I felt a sudden pain on my back. I took a moment to look at it and noticed a bruise on my back.. "Damn it..." I growled as I fought the pain to make sure I could escape, I ran into a forest and continued running, I could hear trotting noises from afar. I have no idea why they thought I was a threat, did I do something wrong?...What was it!
Spike slowly popped his hand out, I looked a bit, I opened the bag a bit more so his head could go out. Spike popped his head out as he rubs his head, I continued running until the trotting noises were gone. I looked around and noticed we reached a different part of the forest, "Where..Are we?.." I looked around in confusion as I continued walking, Spike looked at me in curiosity. The forest had strange trees, some had faces while some didn't, I noticed some strange creatures near bushes but I ignored them. Its better not knowing what lies beyond this forest.
As I continued walking I noticed a strange tree, it was big but it wasn't huge,there were 2 windows on it and one door. Is this tree a house? I thought to myself. I walked to the windows and sticked my face into the window to see what was inside.There were strange masks decorated on the walls, a lot of strange looking vases on shelves, there was also a huge bowl. It looked like an empty pot of gold.
No one was inside I guess..I walked to the door and opened it, strangely, it was unlocked. Once I was about to walk in I could hear a female voice. "If you were about to steal something there, then you are not welcome here." My eyes widened as I looked immediately. "I-I'm sorry! Do you live he-" I couldn't finish my sentence cause the way the mare looked...Surprised me, even Spike looked curious... She had a bright grey coloured fur while she had dark grey stripes around her body, her mane was coloured white and grey. He mane was standing as if it were to look like a mohawk. She had a huge earrings on her ears and loads of rings around her neck and left leg, she had cyan blue or green eyes. A zebra? There's actually a zebra living in Equestria? Mother told me that zebras are mythical equines.Before she died of course... "Who are you?" I asked.
"Why should I tell a mare who seeks to take my ware." She spoked in rhymes...Do all zebras talk like that? "I'm sorry, I was curious, you're house just looked so interesting." I smiled as I look at the zebra, nervously...She was a zebra, maybe she has magic, but he had no horn. But it was possible that she might be a dangerous creature... She is a mythical equine.
"....Come inside and put away the gear, for I will make the pain disappear." She said as she walked into her house or..Tree.
I walked in...The pain disappear? What did she mean by that? "Sit down." She said. I looked then did what she asked me to do,
Spike slowly pokes his head out of the bag, "S-Spike don'-" "It's fine if he walks around. as long as he does not make a sound." I looked and nodded. I opened the bag completely so Spike could go through. Spike walked out of my bag as he starts to walk around.
The zebra gave me a cup with a strange coloured liquid in it I had no idea what the colour was but it was close to a bright red. "Drink it, make sure to don't spit," She said as I blinked in confusion. With hesitation I started drinking the strange liquid.
I felt a strange change on my left eye and my back. Like...It was healed. I opened both of my eyes and noticed, both eyes had clear vision. I stood up and looked at my back, The bruise was gone. My eyes widened as I look at the zebra, w-what kind of magic is this?! She doesn't even have a horn! I looked at her amazed...
What is she? And who is she?
