When attempting to fool Trixie into removing the Alicorn Amulet from around her neck, Twilight seemingly turns Applejack into a stallion. However, when everypony realizes that Twilight actually transfigured Applejack into a real stallion, it flips the apple farmer's life upside down.

Well, at least her friends can now hit on her without it being weird, right?

It has been two weeks since Applejack and Rarity first slept together, and since then the two were inseparable. That is, until Rarity found her lover's poetry booklet, AppleJill, and unknowingly opened the pages of a past love.

Being a fashion designer is not easy - it takes creativity, dedication, and a lot of work. Rarity knows that, and while she wouldn't trade the life she chose for anything in the world, she still needs a break sometimes. What better opportunity is there than going on a walk with a friend - one who has become dearer to her than she had ever been willing to believe?

Rarity is the Princess of Equestria. In order to become Queen, she must find a mate, and marry. The Royal Adviser decides to host a Royal Ball to find an eligible stallion. When Rarity meets Applejack at the ball, she finds that love can hide in unexpected places. Will Rarity and Applejack be together in the end, or will the rules remain Mare + Stallion = Happy Kingdom?

There is an invisible red thread that connects those who are destined to meet from the moment they are born. It does not matter of the time, the place, or their circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break...

The Red String was known to all of ponykind. When two ponies tied to each other by the red string finally met, they were inseperable. They lived long, fulfilling lives together, grew old, and hopefully, fell into eternal slumber soon after one another. Applejack and her lover were no different. At least...that was how it was supposed to be.

So what happens when soulmates are torn from one another far too soon?

Applejack plans to ask a special somepony out on a date, but a certain ivory unicorn refuses to downplay such an event. After all, AJ is finally showing some love interest for the first time in her life—it's crucial for everything to be perfect! She'll need the perfect outfit, setting, and pitch if she plans to get the perfect pony, right?

Which is why Rarity will do everything in her power to help Applejack on scoring her first date, despite the heavily implied protest from the apple-bucking mare herself.
