After a vigorous day of organising and sending reports to Celestia, Twilight notices Spike is feeling a little ill. He slowly grows more and more cold, before finally falling into a coma that Twilight fears is her own fault.

Going to the Princesses for help, Twilight eventually is brought before an Elder Dragon and comes to the realisation that she may have failed as a caretaker, a friend and as an older sister.

A year has passed since Spike's furnace went out, and Twilight was forced to leave her adoptive brother in the care of Al'Mal'Gorath. The complete and utter silence regarding the fate of Spike has all but driven the alicorn into the depths of despair, only her friends support allowing her sanity to remain steady.

Deep down, Twilight fears what may be waiting for her - she fears that her brother, Spike, died a year ago and nothing but a corpse remains. But most of all, she fears the kind of monster Mal'Gorath could have shaped him into.

I remember how I loved causing chaos as a young draconequus. Chaos is fun, what can I say? I loved

the feeling of being a puppet master, pulling at the strings of other ponies.

One day, while I was up in a tree making it rain chocolate milk on two little fillies, a voice, very delicate

and deep, almost made me jump out of my skin.

"Why are you up here?"

I turned around, startled. There, sitting on the same branch as I, was the most beautiful pony I had

ever seen, with a sleek white coat, bright magenta eyes, and a lovely pink mane.

I didn't want her and I to be on bad terms, so I put my hands behind my back and quickly snapped my

fingers to make my chocolate milk cloud vanish. "N-nothing,' I sputtered, my eyes wide. She looked at me

closely. "You seem lonely. Would you like to play with my sister, Luna, and I?"

"Sure," I said, a little too enthusiastically.

"Wonderful! My name's Celestia."

"I'm Discord."

Tirek continued to laugh, mocking him, mocking them, and Discord felt an anger like no other burn him up deep inside. He shook with rage and just focused his gaze on the ponies and the little dragon in the cage. Blue eyes met crimson and that's when a yowl tore from Discord's throat.

What if the battle with Tirek had a different outcome, that nopony in Equestria could have predicted in their wildest dreams?

Today is Hearts and Hooves Day, and Spike finally gathers up the courage to tell his secret feelings to Sweetie Belle to ask her a very important question: Will you be my special somepony? And, it turns out that they both have something to say.

Spike and Sweetie Belle have been aged up to their teenage years.

As hard as Spike tries he cannot seem to win over Rarity's heart. After "careful" consideration he decides to present her with a truly au inspiring gift. he also figures out that Rarity's little sister Sweetie Belle is probably his best bet for ideas on what he should get. Unbeknownst to him, Sweetie Belle has had quite the eye for Spike for a while now and she is flattered, yet slightly hurt when Spike asks for help. So the two set of on a quest for the perfect gift, a quest that will make them close friends, or perhaps more than that.
