A day is defined by the sun and the night by the moon. Time is defined by the minutes making up each moment and by the events that occur in every minute. A definition can make almost anything seem clear after much confusion, but how do you define a pony? Is it what they do that defines them or who they are that defines them? Is a pony defined by what they know or by what they don’t know? For that matter, is it the question they ask or is the question they hide that defines them?

Most importantly, does it really matter who you are?

A/N: This was something I had to get out of my system as it was rotting my mind away. I’m very aware that there is almost no audience for this kind of thing, but I’m actually kind of proud about how this came out and I thought I might as well share this with my favorite community.

By the way, this little piece is indeed focused around one character in particular. In fact, her name is right there in the story if you know where to look. For the sake of maintaining that mystery, do not read the comments before you read this. See if you can figure it out!

This story is a sequel to Discord's First, Last and Only Friendship Report

Set in my "Next of Kin to Chaos" series, but no Star Trek knowledge is needed for this story. More or less direct sequel to "Discord's First, Last and Only Friendship Report", but not humor. Celestia summons Discord to explain himself regarding his ridiculous "friendship report", but the conversation quickly diverges. Discord wants to know what Celestia wanted to reform him for, and what he's expected to do. And Celestia wants to know why he decided to reform.

Twilight Sparkle's Harmony Project is the culmination of her life's work. The only thing left is for everyone to be gathered, so that all of Equestria can join together in Harmony.

But now that success is staring her in the face, Twilight begins to have doubts. Fortunately, she has a friend like Discord, who is only too happy to lend a paw to a friend in need...

Throughout all of history, one concept has kept both the written and spoken word from becoming an unintelligible mess. That concept is that most holy of grounds known by some as "grammar." It sets down rules for language to follow, and keeps it free of distortion.

Yet something is wrong. The rules are failing. And only one pony so much as suspects that something is wrong. Something that goes deeper than a simple appearance of errors. Something that could be an attack on the very root of language itself.

An unexpected turn of events have lead to Discord's freedom, but his plans are turned asunder when Twilight Sparkle accidentally badly injures him.

Vulnerable and weak, the spirit is taken in under the ever watchful, gentle and concerned eyes of Fluttershy. Through this time of healing, the pegasus discovers that there's more to this miscreant than meets the eye, and she's determined to prove it.

Through this process dark secrets are revealed, pain is revealed, and gradually a hidden side never seen of the draconequus, and Fluttershy struggles to push him and past friends back together.

Will she ultimately have an effect on his indifferent heart or this only another one of his dastardly plans?

Shining Armor doesn't have a clue what to do with his little sister Twilight. She's moody, egotistical, screechy, and she constantly begs him to play with her because she has nopony else to play with. Fed up with her tormenting ways, Shining takes it upon himself to do the impossible: find Twilight Sparkle some friends!

Twilight Sparkle faces the end of the world as she knows it. An epic three book series depicting the fall of Equestria and the rise of a new nation from the ashes.
I promise you intrepid explorers, bumbling changelings, lost civilizations, murderous trees, villainous nieces, flaming timberwolves, meddling time lords, graceful airships, monstrous bears, frozen dragons, mysterious cities, penitent farmers, stolen kisses, mythical gemstones, foreboding Pinkie twitches, missed parties, epic magical battles, unhelpful zebras, and perhaps even a phoenix or two.
I laughed, cried, and squeed while writing it; I hope you enjoy it too!
