Scootaloo's birthday is coming up, and Rainbow Dash is unsure of what to get her number one fan. Upon asking her, it seemed her birthday wish would be a little harder to obtain than Dash thought. Enlisting the help of Twilight, the two mares set out to ensure that little Scootaloo has the best birthday ever.

That's right, a fic about best filly where nothing bad, tragic, or otherwise horrible happens to her, or anypony else. This is my attempt at an episode like fic.

Scootaloo has always looked up to Rainbow Dash as her friend, her inspiration; Even her big sister.
But as tragedy comes to prove, everyone must eventually say goodbye to their idols at one time or another... sometimes unexpectedly... and carry on their loved one's legacy.

In this tragic tale, Scootaloo will realize that life is a precious gift that can be taken away in the blink of an eye... or in the flap of a wing.

Scootaloo is called into the office for the fourth time in half as many weeks. Miss Cheerilee's student has, out of nowhere, become something of a minor delinquent, and the teacher knows there's something wrong - but, unless Scootaloo decides to cooperate, she may find out that some ponies really do want to "take care of themselves."

There have always been the things that make us think about who we are. Love, and secrets. To be more specific, what we think is love... and what is truly a secret. What we make of life, and the reality we travel through makes us who we are. What do we do it for, if there is no hope?

Just where are Scootaloo's parents and why doesn't she ever talk about them? Sadly the answer to both questions is because they have passed on. Join Scootaloo as she pays her annual visit to the graves of her two parents...and learn a little something about her and her family in the process.

When Scootaloo is tried of being abused by her mother, she runs away to find someone who can help her stand up against her mother. When she looks for someone to help her. She finds Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash helps Scootaloo fight against her mom and find a new home.

Scootaloo loves her mother more than any other pony on the planet. On this particular night, however, her mother has a rather unsettling message for the young filly, and Scootaloo doesn't exactly realize the impact that it delivers.

Based on a poem/song I wrote entitled "Don't Cry"

Scootaloo tells the Apple Family of what happened to her before she ended up in Ponyville, and how she got there. Events in the story take place before "Call of the Cutie" and lead up to it.

An older, bitter Pegasus stands on the edge, pondering her life and questioning her decisions - but Scootaloo has only one final choice to make. Will her haunted past finally make her take that final step, or will she find a different way out?
