Five months after the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer was Canterlot High School’s least popular student. Fluttershy was taking a scenic route home from the animal shelter one weekend early April when she saw Sunset in need of a helping hand. She decided that someone needs to reach out to Sunset first, and that she would be glad to fill that role.

This story was my entry to the Spring Fling contest celebrating the tenth anniversary of the first Equestria Girls movie.

Two completely different girls are growing very close to each other. They have no clue what it is, or even do they suspect it. But their friends starts to see this growing new attachment and start to question whether or not they should bud in. Would it ruin the experience? Or should they let it happen naturally? Meanwhile, the two girls go into an amazing adventure and start to learn more about one another. And after they learn the truth about each other, will it bring the two closer? Or will it ruin the friendship they have? Find out in this new and exciting story!

Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy have long since buried the hatchet on the way Sunset Shimmer had treated her before Twilight showed her the way. Now friends, attending the same college, they are both snowed in over the holidays.

Though she holds no resentment any longer, Fluttershy does question Sunset Shimmer's motives for her high-school torture. How will Sunset Shimmer answer her questions, and how will their bond develop after Fluttershy learns of the true reasons for Sunset's resentment towards her in high-school?

Sunset Shimmer is feeling especially bad about herself after a rough day in detention, and just when it seems like things can't get any worse, Fluttershy discovers her at her lowest and learns something about her that she'd been trying to keep secret from her friends. The worst part though? She's being so nice about it. It's far more than she feels she deserves.
Fortunately, Fluttershy's not about to let her turn down the help she needs.

Set between the first Equestria Girls movie and Rainbow Rocks. Part of a series of fics I've been working on about Sunset's early days learning how friendship works, which starts with my previous story Asking a Favor. Can absolutely be read as a standalone though.

This one deals with some slightly heavy subject matter. Nothing to warrant a rating higher than E though.

Fluttershy has decided not to go to Prom. How can she when she can't work up the courage to ask the one person she wants to go with more than anything? It's better to just cut her losses and avoid the disappointment and sadness that comes with rejection.

But a talk with Rarity convinces her to give the night a try at least. Maybe it will go better than she expects?

It's Christmastime at Canterlot High. After an assignment of Sunset is found by Fluttershy and the others, they'll do whatever it takes to make sure Sunset has a great Christmas. SunsetXFluttershy
