It is the summer of 2020. The popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" has finished its eighth, and what appears to be final, season. In the wake of increasingly violent attacks by an extremist Internet-based terrorist group, the founders of the popular pony site, Equestria Daily, decide enough is enough. Bronies from all over the world have gathered in a small, abandoned industrial park in the run-down outskirts of Chicago to find the culmination of their dreams: Equestria. Through the wonders of science, they flee Earth for a land of magic, mystery and secrets. They will be weighed, they will be measured... will they be found wanting or will their dreams come true?

This is technically a sequel to "Fixing Up Miss Smartypants", so I totally recommend that you read that first. It's set five years later.

A fantastic air show by Rainbow Dash is spoiled by a violent confrontation with a flock of ducks, resulting in Rainbow breaking a wing. Fluttershy is the first pony to find the wounded pegasus, who makes a request that Fluttershy is not comfortable about fulfilling.

Nightmare Night's approaching, Bon Bon's getting her new costume, but Lyra seems distracted by something. What does she mean by Nightmare Night being "that time?"

Feeling worn down from cleaning up the leftovers from Discord's reign of chaos, the Mane 6 decide to take a short vacation to Manehatten. After the Z'Nai attack was brought to an end, the Royal Sisters decided to take a week's vacation from their royal duties. Celestia's vacation has ended and it is Luna's turn to relax and tour Equestria. In Manehatten, the Moon Princess ditches her entourage and drags Gold Heart and Soul Mage on an impromptu, schedule-free exploration of the theater district, leading to an encounter with the Great and Powerful Trixie.
Meanwhile, Princess Celestia finds that the night-time stars refuse to align properly and calls in Ashen Blaze, Gale, and Twilight Sparkle (with Rarity tagging along) to assist in researching the reason why.
