With six days to go until Hearth's Warming, the bitter winds and barren branches of winter are held at bay by the seasonal tidings of joy that seem to flow forth from the land itself - infusing every rock, tree, and pony in Ponyville with a glowing warmth that no squall, even that from the ancient windigos, could ever hope to stamp out.

Amidst a backdrop of merriment, two Cutie Mark Crusaders search for the truth behind an absence in their ranks. In their mission to become whole again, they learn that they must always believe.

(This story is dedicated to anypony who needs a dose of positive thinking.)

She's the artist of the two of us. She's always been the dreamer, and she always drifts off somewhere between a fantasy and the stars above us. And I'll always be nearby to pull her back to the ground. Every day she shows me how to be more, and I show her how to be herself again. It's not perfect, but it works, and that's what matters.

At last, Apple Bloom has begun to fall for Sweetie Belle. The teenage Apple can't sleep without dreaming of her. Encouraged by Applejack's relationship with Sunset Shimmer, she wants to make Sweetie Belle the happiest girl in the world. But the harshness of life will undoubtedly teach her that some doors can't swing certain ways.

Inspired by some of my life lessons in falling in love with people who couldn't reciprocate their love for me. Hope you enjoy this.

The Crusaders have been joined at their collective hips for years. There have been bumps along the way but this is one childhood friendship that makes it all the way to adulthood with no end in sight. Nothing and nopony could ever tear them apart.

Except, perhaps, for each other. The Crusaders have grown up and with maturity comes changes both inside and out. When the youngest of the trio finally crosses the finish line into legal adulthood, those changes start to come to light. It turns out that they may not know one another quite as well as they thought. The Crusaders have stuck together through thick and thin but shared affection might be a bigger challenge than any shared adversity they've ever faced.

Why does life have to be so ironic?

A story written to challenge myself into covering topics I normally never touch. Tagged for (very) humanoid anthropomorphism, implications, innuendo, off-screen self-help, first base, and flirting with the line of second. Contains content that some may find offensive or unpleasant such as: a tiny amount of alcohol, body image issues, homosexuality, and polyamory.

Friendship and relationships are complicated, but falling in love with your best friends should be easy right? You just start to cuddle and kiss and say ‘I love you’.

But, sometimes, you forget an important step to a relationship.

Like a first date.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders have constantly been harassed, insulted, and bullied by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon for what seems like ages now. But when they figure it's about time to get some payback, a dangerous silence awaits them..

Scootaloo has been diagnosed with a disease that constantly eats away at her wing bones, thus they never grow. With a possible cure and a limited time, Sweetie Belle will stop at nothing to assure her friend can fly.

But can Scootaloo deal with the possible sacrifice that must be made in order to live her dream?

A true friend will stop at nothing to help others achieve their dreams, even going so far as to lose their own dreams.

Or their own life.

Scootaloo can't get over how guilty she feels... she can fly, yes, but Sweetie Belle can't see. With her conscience pushing her, she and Applebloom decide they will find a way to make Sweetie whole. But not everything is free...

Scootaloo knows what she seeks... but is her zeal for this quest a bit too much? Will she be able to finish? Or will she stumble blindly into the dangers that await her?

Applebloom knows what to do, but can she help Scootaloo find the right path, or will she only be brought to harm by Scootaloo's rash actions?

In their times of need, a true friend will risk it all.

There is no greater form of love than when one is willing to lay down one's life for a friend.

The Crusaders sometimes form conclusions and make decisions based on impulsivity and gut feelings rather than rational thought. So, when they meet Ponyville’s newest, specialty flower vendor—a young, quiet mare from Alemaneia named Schneeblume—Scootaloo immediately begins to suspect something… that behind her quiet exterior, that bright smile, and those kind eyes, she's hiding something sinister.

Well, technically, she is... but perhaps not in the manner they expected.

In the end, the three quickly-growing fillies may find that their cutie marks and their penchant for helping ponies may come in a different fashion than they're used to.
