UPDATE: So, thanks to circumstances in life and a very good idea from one of my readers (thank you!) I have cut this story off at chapter 13 so that it has a happy ending. I don't have the pain filled angst to make it sad and depressing anymore, and for that I am thankful.

This is the story of a young pegasus who wants nothing but to explore the world beyond his home. After enlisting in the Equestrian Army, the pegasus finds himself and two others subject to what seems to be special training. The trio are subjected to an experimental process; one that promises to make them a few of Equestria's finest soldiers. What will await the trio as the tanks open again?

This fanfiction is based on Fallout Equestria by Kkat, whose magnificent work of fiction inspired me to seriously write for the first time in my life.

A pony in power armor wakes to find themselves in the middle of what was once a road. With no memory of who they are or where they are from, they set out to unravel the mystery of their origin.

Update 11/04/2012: To prevent confusion, an explanation about how the chapters are named/numbered. I essentially have the story split into several acts--each act will have a named chapter that precedes the number chapters and are a somewhat separate tale, but will eventually tie into the main story. If I ever manage to finish this (or you figure it out way, WAY before then), then it will hopefully make sense.
