Bow Hot Hoof and Windy Whistles may have finally patched things up with their daughter, but Rainbow Dash isn't the only Wonderbolt who has some grievances to address with them.

Spitfire, the young Wonderbolts captain, decides she needs to address a few concerns she has with Dash's parents and their excessive fanpoyism. Both at shows and at events.

But Bow and Windy will be quite surprised not just at Spitfire's words, but at her own experiences. After all, this isn't the first time the Wonderbolts have dealt with a family problem.

After cleaning up her act Lightning Dust is given her chance to fly as a Wonderbolt alongside Rainbow Dash and the others. Things do not go as she planned.

When Lightning receives her Wonderbolt nickname, she'll do anything to prove she isn't what it entails. This leads to some unfortunate circumstances.

A short story based on the concept of "Newbie Dash" but for Lightning Dust. Expect some mentions from that episode.

This is a short piece that fills in a few gaps, exploring and expanding upon what might have happened between some of the scenes in "Wonderbolt Academy." Specifically, it looks into events after the tornado incident, and Rainbow Dash quitting the academy. It is just a "what if?" Your interpretation may vary.

Lightning Dust's and Rainbow Dash's Wonderbolt training continues, but something is wrong. Lightning Dust hasn't been the same since she was forced to give up her lead-pony badge and both Spitfire and Rainbow Dash have taken note.

Can they turn her around?

Or will Lightning Dust's reckless behavior finally get the better of her?

Was Lightning Dust really that one-dimensional jerk who just had to be kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy for the better? I don't think so...

I initially wrote this for a panic contest in the Quills and Sofas group, with the prompt being "Alone."

Lightning Dust has dreamed her whole life of becoming a Wonderbolt just like her father. Ever since she learned how to fly, she has strived to become the greatest flier in Equestria. She'll do anything it takes to become the best, but at what cost? Has she lost her only chance at fulfilling her dreams because of her disregard for other ponies, or will Spitfire grant her a second chance.

Faced with the prospect of never flying again, Lightning Dust learns something about friendship from an unexpected source.

Life has done nothing but gotten me down. It has only shown me pain and ridicule ever since the death of my parents, and even more so now that I've let everypony, including myself, down.

There's no reason to carry on living on this living Tartarus of a planet anymore, and so I think I'll end it here. Nice, quick and clean. I can finally say goodbye to my dreams and ambitions and fall to the consuming dark.

On the last day of the Wonderbolt Academy session, Spitfire asks Rainbow Dash to see her in her office in order to clear the air. Perhaps if she mentioned some of this stuff earlier, things might've gone in a different direction. Or, as she soon discovers, perhaps not.

Years ago, Lightning Dust was finally accepted to take part in her life's dream to become a Wonderbolt. But her pride and arrogance proved to be her undoing and was kicked out the academy.

Now years later. Lightning Dust meets Spitfire again and tells her what happened after her expulsion, and why she wont reapply to join the Wonderbolts.
