I’ve leveled up!
That’s right--through many trials and tribulations over the past 365 days, I’ve managed to gain enough XP to become a level 41 human.
Had I put more points into my ‘preparedness’ skill, I would have had this blog post all ready to go at midnight, but then that’s not really how I roll.
Besides, if I wanted to be totally technically accurate, I would have waited until 5-something in the am, when I was actually born. Pretty sure it was 5-something in the am, anyway. But I’ll be honest with y’all, I’m not so much in favor of getting up at 5am, especially on a Saturday, especially on my birthday.
And I’m also getting a little too old to enjoy staying up all night, fueled solely by Doritos and Jolt Cola. I think there’s a penalty to that for humans with high class levels. So enjoy it while you can, you young’uns.
I feel that I ought to impart y’all with some sort of wisdom, and maybe I’ll do that later in the day. Wisdom might come in my sleep. I’ve been hoping for that for years and thus far I’ve mostly been disappointed, but as the song goes, you can’t always get what you want.
I also thought about putting a party hat on my avatar (just over one ear, of course) but that would require both a modicum of skill, whereas my photoshop abilities are on par with an actual potato. Also, I would have to download GIMP or some other photoediting program that isn’t MSPaint and I just can’t be bothered at the moment. Maybe I’ll get bored and do it tomorrow and then that can be the new thing. Or maybe I’ll just switch back to the Christmas avatar. A party hat and a Santa hat are pretty much the same thing, after all.
I also could’ve done some sort of big blog post containing information y’all want to know, continuing in the tradition of How Much Do Ponies Weigh and How Much Do Ponies Poop. But I didn’t, and I have other projects in mind for tomorrow. One of them might be a new story, and if it is, it might be one that you love or it might be one that you hate. Or it might be both simultaneously.
You’ll just have to wait and see, won’t you?
You know what? I am going to leave you with a bit of wisdom.
The problem is we *lose* dots in skills and stats from about that point on.

Uhh.... If you're still drinking Jolt you should stop, last I heard it was discontinued years ago.... Which is a shame, my entire first year of security was reliant on it.

Good old Jolt was awesome. A big part of getting through highschool for me.
Tonight is a lovely night with relaxing thunderstorms outside, Costco-sized tub of party mix and Margarita mix with rum (since I can't stand tequila) in here. Rewatching original TMNT series from the beginning.

Happy Birthday Admiral. I shouldve been traveling today but the stress of prepping for morning travel finally exceeded even my Slowbro responses about 1 am, and the relief I felt on resetting the watch alarmto a slightly later than usual alarm was like a waterfall of Snowball down my back.

I stand corrected. Apparently memories from my astronomy class from more than a decade ago is flawed... that or the designation was for a particular aspect that I lumped together with luminosity and composition.
<shrugs>
I got the answer right on the test at the time because it was the same as my favorite run of pens. Clearly I shall have to dig up my old book and update my birthday greeting to be accurate.
