I Thought I Was Toast

Insanity is just creativity to the nth degree.

E

It's been five years since Daring Do last faced Ahuizotl. She thought he was dead. She'd seen him die. So why is it that when she comes home one day a familiar gold and black envelope waits for her in her study? It seems her old foe is alive and kicking, and he's invited her to one last face off. It's time for one last hunt to decide just who is the hunter and who is the hunted.

Too early to say for sure but I think I like how you make Ahuizotl out to be a true nemesis instead of just another villain. The important thing is that he and Daring need each other to feel whole.

This story is dangerously underrated.

As in, like only 10 people (me included) have up-voted this. WTF. :rainbowhuh:

I'm not 100% through reading everything yet, but... first of all, wow, this is good. And WTF, why doesn't this have at least 200 - 300 upvotes AND an Equestria Daily feature yet?!!?! :twilightoops:

You somehow managed to make a situation of ponies being unable to pick things up with their hooves bone-chilling. :pinkiegasp:

I hope this gets continued someday. :rainbowdetermined2:

Well, I think it basically boils down a combination of a lack of good self promotion, and the fact that my style is so... dry? I think dry is the right term here. I have a way with words, but I also have a tendency to just go on and on sometimes. The latter often detracts from the former in my experience, no matter how much I enjoy rambling or monologues.

As to why it isn't featured on Equestria Daily, I tried to get it in back when strikes were an automatic thing. They said there wasn't enough adventure in what I had. I think that might have changed with the library chapter, but I was too hesitant to try more than once since I only had three tries. That's honestly the best thing with their current system. There's so much less pressure since you don't get a strike as long as it's clear you put effort into the revisions.

Maybe I will continue it someday, but I need to make sure I have the time. Both this and dC/dt are rather wordy stories.
