The Pale Horse is the usher of the souls of the dead. With such a grim job, most would assume the Pale Horse to live up to the moniker 'The Grim Trotter'. But things are rarely that simple, even with something as ironclad as death.

The hippopomorphic ponification of death will meet everypony in time, from the Mane Six to the gods themselves. But an ending need not be a sad affair.

Hello Andrew Hussie, been making children with George RR Martin again, have you?

:moustache: No likes, no dislikes, now aren't you a clean slate

2148262 Hello, idiot. I don't know who "Andrew Hussie" is, but this isn't him. :rainbowlaugh:

Hello culturally impaired person, Andrew Hussie is the creator of the Webcomic Homestuck, which is famous having over half it's characters being dead. As for George RR Martin, he created A Song of Ice and Fire, commonly called A Game of Thrones. The supposedly main character was killed off halfway through the first book.

I meant it as a sarcastic comment about how everyone is supposed to die.

2148451 Whoops. My mistake. I'm not a part of the Homestuck fandom so I didn't know. Sorry again.

I see what you did there. A 'grave' error indeed.

This, THIS is the kind of fic about death I like. Not grimdark bloodandguts, but the heartwarming stories about a life lived, and the gentle psychopomp that opens the door to the next life.

Why am I suddenly not afraid of dying right now?

Una

Such a great story, I think I'm going to cry. :fluttershysad:

Hmm... Epilogue posted, but still Incomplete. Interesting.

*Goes back to re-re-rereading 'Friendship is the Key'*

Bloody good story :)

Any chance of a sequel, maybe including some of the other characters?

And with strange aeons, even death may die.

Good, bad, short, tall, loud, silent, sometimes young, always old; Death eventually takes them all.

Lol, no.
