My Little Commie

T
Source

The earth ponies are fed up with the oppressive nature of the upper class, which consists of unicorns, pegasi, and the Royal Family. They lead a rebellion, with a pony named Joseph Stallion leading them. After defeating the Royal Family, Stallion forms the Poniet Union (Union of Poniet Socialist Republics, or UPSR) and begins to reform society into an equal place for all. The Union then declares war on the capitalist dragons. The mane six proceed to encounter all sorts of shenanigans.

Were you inspired by The Animal Farm?

So basically it went like this; a friend one day just kind of leaned over and whispered "Dude... Joseph Stallion." I thought it was such a nifty pun that I would write a story about it, though I decided against making it just the October Revolution with ponies, as I reasoned it would be a lot more interesting if I just kind of made up the events of the revolution, like Joseph Stallion leading it. That decision just kind of came down to me liking Stalin more than Lenin (I think Order 227 will be making some form of an appearance).

As for inspiration, I looked at various bits of propaganda, as it always exaggerates certain elements. One I particularly liked was "Pyramid of Capitalist System." Quite the niceness that was. Other than that, it was really just using what I knew of Soviet opinions and going from there. I'm not exactly what one would define as 'well-read' in fanfiction (this is, of course, assuming that The Animal Farm is a fanfic).

My pardons for the lengthy reply, sir. When I write one word, in less than ten minutes I'll have three hundred. I'm really poor at keeping things short. I believe if I were a superhero, that would likely be my weakness. Anyway, good show with the question, sir. May you experience the most excellent of days.

Believe me I know that feeling, but still a very intresting take. Writing about socailism is a tough one, it such a taboo that many ignore it. I look at it and understand its concept, but every time it fails, I still enjoy reading about different empires.
I definatly look forward to reading more.

I'm sad you killed spitfire can't you just injure her mortally. Other wise good story.

I have a feeling Discord will come back and completely take over again. and do a chaotic world of awesome.

Are you a real communist?

Also,

That decision just kind of came down to me liking Stalin more than Lenin

You do know he murdered many of his own people? He's worse than Hitler.

2163559 Actually, never mind. I'm not here to start a political argument.

2163577 By liking him more, it really came down to facial hair. In this regard, Stalin far exceeds Lenin. And as for political ideology, I really don't have any particular preference, though Communism is the one I take an interest in, particularly the WWII-era Soviet Union (another reason for picking Stalin), as it's such an intriguing method of government. And sure, Stalin killed a shit-tons of innocents. But he also fought a significant portion of WWII. Not to glorify the USSR (they kind of put soldiers between the guns of the enemy and their comrades, essentially screwing everyone over), but the US and Great Britain just kind of sat around in Italy while the Eastern front took care of a majority of Hitler's forces. Plus, look at his dashingly handsome and cuddly face. He's like the Kim-Jong Un of his time.

What is this? I have stumbled across a land of wonder and merriment in the form of words and coherent sentences. This story, touched me in many ways only my uncle could have dreamed of. The story started out in such a simplistic nature, with a conflicting struggle between the upper and working class. The Earth Ponies fought for their rights to secure equality between all ponies, not unlike Gordon Freeman or Martin Luther King Jr. (Both very speech heavy people as Stallion himself!) This magnificent piece of literature, neigh, this masterpiece uplifts my soul and churns my butter. "My Little Commie, Socialism is Magic" Is the classic underdog tale of how an oppressed group of ponies beat the odds and take control of their land. What lies in the future of this story arch? None can say, save for the historians of the future when they read this story to their children, and their children's children years after. As did the Beastie Boys fight for my right to party, These ponies fought for their right to have a party in control of the land. Of all the fanfics I have read in my travels (1) This was the most........awesome.

tl;dr: 5/5 would read while pooping again.

This....This is amazing!

This is more like the events of the end of the Russian Empire and the rise of the Soviet Union.

In one of my stories, it seemed that the name matched your first chapter, so I changed it. :pinkiehappy:

I like the Writing style, It gives me the fealing of how this story would be taught in that story's universe

“I don’t need your fantasy mares,” the red pony stated, glaring at Discord.

Referencing a Q-episode of Star Trek, to Discord... I see what you did there

Malashenko: *after looking at this* Interesting... *cracks his knuckles* I think I might pay them a visit.

When will you keep writing this story?
