I'm personally guessing and theorizing that he's some random stallion womanizer that wants a personal harem/polygamy, and he somehow messed with Bon Bon/Lyra in the past.
It still doesn't excuse for what those two freaks did. Because why did they brutally assassinate and killed Luna, then Rarity/Sweetie Belle, and Trixie!? They are probably Andras' gals, but you don't have to frickin kill them as well!?

No, Andras is one of the main/longer term sources for fucked up snuff/necro porn in the fandom not named Whitekitten. Rather than embracing the misogyny et al, his worlds tend to be brutally violent and occupied mostly by horrible ponies - himself included - who do horrible things until karma catches up with them.
