I know this was probably created just for the clop but you could honestly make a fairly decent story for this…
Shining becomes obsessed with Chrissy but still loves his wife. Cadence feels his love shifting but ignores it thinking it’s an after effect and they still have Flurry eventually. Chrissy starts feeling actual love back for Shining and doesn’t want to loose him to time so converts him into a changeling prince, he has to hide the change from Cadence but fails. Cadence turns to the dark side all while Chrissy is becoming a reformed Ling due to Shining’s passionate love and they have a foal together the same age as Flurry…
