Shade really should find someone to confide in eventually, you can't keep all that bottled up forever without it becoming really unhealthy.
Siento que debería tratar esto o cuando vuelva luna, ella lo podría notar en los sueños y complicar la trama, o sufrir antes de un colapso nervioso.
And now, Celestia can digitize her entire records department to save massive amounts of space if he shows her his end product… and other large organizations, too.
I thought Shade might have sent Philomena with a note, “Hope your day is well. -Shade” Something like that.
And still, Shade hasn’t thought once about his pony parents… or going on another date … Maple is probably not doing anything. Just saying.
That'd be an interesting spellbook, but your magic system doesn't really need to prepare spell slots

You have a point there
After all, friendship is magic
That sure was one heck of a dark turn
now that i think about it...
doesn't it kind of look like Shade is crying into his hooves in the cover?
I'm not even sure anymore...
And I'm the one who drew it!

To be fair, he's an orphan. He probably doesn't want to add on to his already big list of anxieties/problems.
I'll probably be in the same boat as him If I was an orphan, because I don't wanna possibly find out that my parents never cared about me in the first place. Or find out they died.
I think Shade is having a mistake here.
The mistake is called indecision.
He doesn't take action unless there is no other options and that can be harmful and the universe generally remember us that very quickly.
Like he hasn't protected to the magics of the minds knowing that exits because of Discord.
There is no consequences that's not right
If he ever gets the courage to tell anyone of his past life, I think he should go to celestia first Or one of his friends because he's the closest to them. But that's probably not for a while.

If he ever does choose to confide in anypony
I agree with you that, currently, Celestia is probably the best choice

Definitely Celestia, even if just the fact that he's a reborn being and is having to deal with the loss of everyone from before. She'd definitely be able to provide some sort of help in dealing with it.
If he wants to hide the fact he knows the future due to that past life, it'd be understandable. Although I'm sure Celestia would appreciate getting some heads up, though there's always the risk of possibly making the future worse by doing so.

Him being here is already going to have drastic, completely chaotic effects
Talking about his past while hiding his knowledge of the future seems like the most likely outcome if he decides to go to celestia
Giving celestia a heads up can definitely go worse than not saying anything at all
But there's really no way to know every effect he'd have on the future
Probably the safest bet would be to tell her everything
Because it's not gonna increase the chance of everything going to shit any more than it already has been
timeline's already been changed, and everypony's just along for the ride
I was wondering when this would happen because no matter what, home is back on earth, a place that you could never go back to. It IS still home. You will get homesick, and you will cry about not being able to get back home. I won't be surprised if he tries replicating everyday appliances now that the floodgates have opened. Stuff like a washing machine to clean what clothing he does have, maybe even a dishwasher. He might make some air conditioning for his bedroom and, hell, even make a camera to make pics and record moments to never forget about them.
Making a diary and recording his old memories is a good move because now, when he feels extra nostalgic, he can just read the book, and that is a lot better than fading memories. But I also agree with everyone else he should tell someone about his old life, and writing a book will only make do for so long. Not Sunny-D if he is paranoid even a little bit about that, but I don't know it doesn't feel like he has any particularly deep friendships. Everyone in the library feels more like coworkers that you can say are your friends. Well, to human standards, at least, and that is what he needs a Deep Friendship that even his monkey brain says is a close friend.

yeah, I was expecting him to start making home appliances a while ago
making a camera would be really easy
all he needs is a regular lens and a few runes to copy the light coming in, magnify the image, and copy it onto a larger sheet of paper
I wonder what else he's gonna do to cope?
For a hot second I thought he was going to write his story down as a fiction novel, and go into as much detail as you want about anything that happened that you want to talk about, and if any pony reads it in Equestria, they'll just think it's very detailed world building... Might have two versions as well: one "raw" and one "pony friendly"... Could also write other works of fiction and bring them into the pony world as best as you can remember them...
OH Cool is he making his own Diary?
Like once he Dies from Old Age, future Generations of Creatures will be able to Read his Book.
Like how Anne Frank, [Sorry Spoilers] not sure if anyone here read that Book.
Hmmm. Good. Closure is important.
