This story is a sequel to A Knight's Wrath.
The night before the Canterlot wedding, Twilight Sparkle was kidnapped by Queen Chrysalis. Transformed into a changeling, she would have followed any of her Queen's commands. Now that Chrysalis is dead, slain by a Knight's hands, Twilight can begin her recovery. Unfortunately for her, the wheel that is fate continues to spin on, and one of the greatest threats Equestria has ever known is about to return.

Nothing. That is how bland and uninteresting I find Sombra. Nothing Hasbro, IDW, or this fandom, has done has changed my mind on that. And if professional writers have failed that badly, I'm not holding out any hope a fanfic writer can do better.

I thought it looked kinda cool, but at the same time you have a point. When it comes to Sombra, there has been one characterization of him that I really liked. His depiction in “Fall of an Empire” a Royal Canterlot Symphonic Metal Orchestra, by L-Train, is really good.(https://youtu.be/vtBqTFsiLxM?si=_UtRsRGVIXIgnrZe)
This Sombra is not the same as that one, but he will be a bit darker compared to canon. His words are not a falsehood, death would be preferable to the Guards Fate.
