Seems like Soaring and Rainbow shouldn't even be in a relationship if you're gonna spend months apart and "friendship" missions are the most important thing.

Reading the story (like the previous several adventures being something that the affected could easily do themselves), I'd definitely say that Rainbow is avoiding him. Stop putting out and eventually your partner going to look elsewhere.
