This story is a sequel to Trick and Treat: Pinkie Pie's Terrifying Tales

The Cutie Mark Crusaders once again come to Pinkie Pie for a scary story, and she makes the unusual choice to tell them one set in the world of The Enchanted Library with very little context.

In this tale, Twilight, Rarity, and their friends spend the night in the library, telling scary stories of their own. However, they discover that there may be more than one ghost in the library...

Written with Monochromatic's permission.

There is no need to have read the previous Pinkie Pie's Terrifying Tales. You should read The Enchanted Library before reading this; The Enchanted Kingdom on are not necessary.

I love the framing device. Pinkie Pie is best planeswalker. Clearly she’ll need to get a human-world scary story for next year.

Also, great suspense and payoff pacing thus far. Looking forward to more.

As in The Enchanted Kingdom and everything after

Oh, this is delightful thus far, from the nature of the threat to Fluttershy giving it ideas to the mystifying nature of Pinkie channeling the story from another timeline. Looking forward to more.

“Oh huh, an atog,” Twilight said in recognition.

Delightful stuff, including an unexpected but welcome reference to the comics. And a multiversal Pinkie is always fun. Thank you for a most entertaining read… and a truly disturbing twist at the end. :fluttershyouch:

I love your horror-comedies the best. You really keep everypony in character and this seems like the type of writing the creators would do if Hasbro would let them tweak it for an older audience.

“Sounds like what happens when a common Equestrian bookworm is empowered by magic. They eat books and then the characters from them appear in the real world.”

Oh! Is that a reference to the comics?

“Now, if you’ll indulge me,” Pinkie said as she pulled out a record labeled Anime Fight Music.

Guess I gotta switch from Dark Academia to Epic Anime OST for this part.

Thank you very much! Yeah, these horror comedies are pretty fun to write. You're the first to praise them specifically; maybe this will be a specialty for me.

This is an underrated and under-read fic. Super fun, and that twist at the very end? Truly horrific.
