End is Just the Beginning
Here they were in Dumbledore's office. The girls and Mel and Discord all waiting for Dumbledore to speak.
"Anyone care to explain what happened?" he asked.
"Sir, it was all my fault" Discord said as he started explaining everything. At the end he came to part of lying about him being a teacher. "I couldn't leave Mel! I didn't want to listen to your order of it being a dangerous. I faked my diploma, I got everyone here into it to help me."
"I have always knew that. I knew you wouldn't listen, I knew the diploma was fake and that these students were involved too. I am not angry." Dumbledore said calmly. "I am proud of you for doing what's right. I feel like part of me regreted not rescuing Mel so I let you all do it."
"Wait" Twilight cut in. "Why didn't you help us then?"
"Sometimes you have to let the students handle the situation on their own. I am sorry for not helping you though", he replied and turned to Discord, "The question is, what will we do about you now?"
"I would like to go back to Hogwarts and finish it", Discord said.
"Me too!" Mel said too.
"I think that's a wonderful idea! I am so proud of all of you! You were so strong and brave for fighting for this."
"Excuse me, I have a question", Twilight said, "About crystals, what are they? Where are the rest?"
"Oh the crystals are group of 7 crystals connected together. They have unspoken powers. Each represents one element, magic, honesty, loyalty, generosity, kindness, laughter and empathy."
"Could it take away all magic from human born wizards?"
"Sadly yes. It could do all sorts of bad things. But it could also do many good ones too! They are most powerful when used together. The thing is, in each generation there is one person connected to each crystal and only that person can use it's power for good or for evil. And they are the only person that is able to destroy it!"
"So you are saying I was connected with this crystal?" Twilight was surprised.
"Yes."
"But that's so dangerous!" Sunset said. "We can't have 6 more of those that just stand around waiting for someone evil to come and use them!"
"What do you suggest to do then, Misses Shimmer?" Dumbledore was calm during whole talk.
"Maybe we could find them all and destroy them?"
"Great idea!"
"But how will we find who is connected to them?"
"I think you already have an answer for that", he happily looked at all of them.
"Us?" Sunset wad shocked.
"I would suggest you all consider it and go prepare for end of the year feast! I will announce the winners of the House Cup too!"
"Of course!" Sunset said.
"Thank you for not punishing us!" Twilight said.
"And for giving us a second chance" Discord said.

They were together in the Courtyard discussing everything.
"I think we should do it!" Twilight said. "Spend the summer and our next years at Hogwarts finding the crystals and destroying them once and for all."
"I agree!" Sunset looked at her girlfriend. "They are just too dangerous, we can't risk it!"
"Yeah, maybe we could try to use their powers though?" Rainbow said.
"How about we first find them all?" Applejack said.
"And see who is connected to who!" Rarity cut in.
"Deal!" Twilight said.
"I'm in too!" Fluttershy shyly agreed.
"Mel and me too! You are not going to an epic adventure without us!" Discord said.
"Of course!" Twilight was happy.
They sat there for a while in a comfortable silence.
"So, summer will begin" Pinkie pointed out.
"Finally!" Applejack was relieved. "I don't think I could take any more studying!"
"Me neither!" Rainbow agreed. "However, I am sad we won't see each other much over summer. I expect you to visit me at least once, Aj!"
"You should visit my farm too!" Applejack smiled.
"I would love that!"
"Oh" Sunset said. "Twilight how about you visit me over summer? We were at your place over winter."
"That sounds amazing!"
"And we all could meet up at least once and write to each other?" Pinkie asked.
Everyone agreed.
There was a pause.
"What happens with my brother, Stacy and Cadence?" Twilight got sad and Sunset took her hand.
Discord replied. "They are being taken to Azkaban. Trying to take away magic from a whole group of people because blood is a serious crime."
Twilight expression got darker, she was determined. "Good!"
"Oh, I can't wait to go greet my family again!" Mel tried to change the topic.
"You should! They never believed you were dead. Always had faith."
"Aw, it will be so amazing!"
"I feel bad for interrupting this conversation", Rarity started, "but we should go to the feast!"
"Let's go!" Twilight happily said.

At the feast Twilight and Rainbow were at their Slytherin table.
"How far we came" Twilight noticed.
"I am glad to have you as my friend egg head."
"Glad to have you too, Rainbow. And don't call me like that!"
"Heh okay!" she laughed.
"Well would you look at that, the nerd and the girl she couldn't get with" Trixie came.
"Ugh!" Twilight eye rolled.
"Shut up, Trixie! No one asked you anything!" Rainbow got annoyed.
"Yeah", Twilight said. "You were like, the least of our problems this year. Which was a surprise really."
"I know right?" Rainbow replied.
"I don't even know what you two weirdos are talking about!"
"You wouldn't get it." Twilight said.
Dumbledore came. "May I have your attention students. This was as always an eventful year, a lot has happened. Some students disobeyed my orders but saved many lives because of it! I want to take this time for all of you to reflect and think about all the brave things you have done and for me to think about my decision and mistakes. We have many more amazing years at Hogwarts ahead of you! But for now let's announce winners of the House Cup!"
"I hope we did it!" Twilight said.
"Nah, Slytherins never win!" Rainbow said.
"SLYTHERINS!" Dumbledore announced.
"YAAY!" Twilight got excited and stood up as well as rest of Slytherins who were cheering and being happy.
"Well that's a first!" Rainbow was happy too.
"Now enjoy the feast, have great summer and see you all next year!" Dumbledore said.
Everyone enjoyed the feast and talked. After it, it was time to pack and go back home.

Twilight and Sunset were going back each to their room.
"And don't forget to write me letters! I also have your number saved so we will text. OH! Maybe we can also videochat?" Twilight was excited.
"Of course!" Sunset smiled.
"I am so sad we won't be together all the time."
"Hey, we will still hear from each other over texts! And visit each other. It will all be fun, you'll see! I know it will be hard with Shining and all now gone but you are never alone! I am always with you, if you will need me just text me!"
"Thank you Sunset! Same goes for you!" Twilight said as they kissed.

Fluttershy went to catch Discord before they need to leave.
"Hey!"
"Oh hi Fluttershy! Packed already?"
"Yeah, I packed sooner so I can come say proper goodbye."
"It is just a goodbye for now. I expect you to write me over summer."
"Good because I expect you to write me too!"
They smiled.
After a bit of silence Fluttershy spoke, "what are you going to do now?"
"Get back to family, tell them everything, help Mel."
"I am so glad you got your girlfriend back. You really love her, don't you?"
"Yeah, I do!" Discord smiled and Fluttershy did too.
"Next year will be even more amazing and exciting than this one, I can feel it!"
"I agree! We all will have each other and search for crystals! They can be practically anywhere! In London, Canterlot, Hogwarts, anywhere in the world!"
"That sounds fun!"
"Glad I will get to join and actually finish school."
"You are very strong."
"So are you!"
They continued to talk for a bit.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash were waiting others at the train station. Fluttershy went to say goodbye to Hagrid, Sunset and Twilight were still packing, Pinkie went to find her twin sister Marble and Rarity was saying goodbye to her boyfriend. Discord and Mel were signing some papers to enroll next year.
"Rainbow?"
"Yes Aj?"
"I love you." Applejack said so easily after risking their lives and whole year of adventures together. Rainbow was shocked.
Then her eyes softened, "I love you too Aj!" and they kissed.

Twilight's POV
We have all met up at the train station and waited for our trains. Soon they arrived, we all group hugged and entered them. I was going back with Sunset and some others who were going in my direction.
As I did I stared out at the window and thought about everything that happened this year. I have made friends, saved so many, defeated my brother and found an amazing girlfriend!
So much has happened and so much has yet to happen. We will search for the other crystals, maybe destroy them, maybe not, but do what's best to keep everyone safe. And I can't wait for the adventures with my friends we will have on our next years and later in lives. Over this summer too! We will definitely meet up few times.
In the end love won! Friendship won! Good won! As it always does. And I couldn't be happier!
I now know what real friendship and love is and what fighting for what's right feels like. I also know that this was the end of something. Maybe this year, maybe of my brother's and his groups' evil plans.
But what I didn't know was that this end.... was only just the beginning.
