Admittedly it's a little difficult to tell you're trying to establish an AU of EqG. The mishmash of pony character tags with the EqG ones look more like a mixed-message sign to a reader like me. I'd have taken a little more time to work that in to this chapter as a way to set up the atmosphere, or perhaps stuck it in the description to deter confusion.
