With her first semester as principal finally done, Starlight is ready for a well-deserved holiday break. Wanting to balance out her best-friend Trixie’s clinginess and her father…well, being her father, Starlight decides to have Trixie spend the Hearth’s Warming holidays with them. Jealousy soon erupts, however, when her father begins treating Trixie like a second daughter. By the end of the holidays, everyone will have learned an important lesson about what it means to be family.

This story is adorable I can't wait for more! But isn't Phyllis a girl?

-goes to double check the transcript for "A Horse Shoe-In"-

It seems you are correct. I missed the "Ms. Philodendron" line, it seems. Thank you for noticing.

im kinda curious why is it that in so many fics everyone either makes Trixie a orphan or have dead beat dad? i think overall maybe i read three good fic's where she got decent parents

anyway this is fun read so far

At least regarding the dad, that probably has a lot to do with some comments from the showmakers regarding that one guy as being Trixie's dad but may not know about it: https://www.equestriadaily.com/2018/04/jack-pot-is-actually-trixies-dad.html . That is where I'm getting some inspiration for the story because I like the parallels of having both Trixie and Starlight having only one parental figure in their lives, but I can't say much more cause spoilers for the story.

Wait, who is Ms. Philodendron?

10053755 That's Phyllis's proper name, apparently. From the transcript:

Starlight Glimmer: I think you really spruce up the office, Ms. Philodendron. [gasps] Oh! I'm gonna call you Phyllis! [baby talk] Don't you look good, Phyllis!

I'm liking this story already!

Looking forward for the chapter!

This is a good start to the story. I'm really looking to future chapters. There is never enough Startrix (or Trilight) for me. :)
