My mother and I have lived in Ponyville for a long time. My siblings and I made a name for ourselves as the Trusdale Triplets. Our mother also made a name for herself as the "Magical Witch".
Despite her title having witch in it, she's as kind as Fluttershy and loving and caring as Princess Celestia herself. Though unbeknownst to everypony, the title fits more than they think. Since she is a practiced Wicca witch.
One day though, she discovers an old book and gets involved in something a bit questionable.

It depends on what you're referring to, Real-life witches or MLP Witches.
Real-life witches aren't. Most witches are simply practiced, they use items and tools that are Wiccan in nature but do help with everyday things like expelling negative energy and such. They also worship and/or celebrate the ancient arts.
MLP Witches, most are. But there those that don't have magic. Zecora is one of those few characters that is a witch of sorts and she can't use magic as far as the series has told us. She even rhythms like a witch would, as a lot of spells involve rhythms.
But that's taking the question seriously, I just used the nickname Magical Witch as a means for a nickname or title name.
