Blueblood: I moved on her like a bitch. And yes, I magically grabbed her by the pussy. She loved it, believe me.
Chrissy's gonna be sooooooo jealous!
Sapphire Shores: Is that what the foals are calling it these days?
Don't mind me, just sitting here shipping this so hard.
Calling it now. Blueballs gets turned down the same night she shows up in public (at an event she's hosting?) with a human. Blueballs antagonist incoming.
Great chapter yet again. Good work holy hell.
Are we doing something other than the standard Equis that I'm not remembering or is Fleur from South America?
This is so fun!
That's twice now. Listen to yourself speak, Fleur. I hope no one overhears.
Siren!Fleur is cute. Give her a right cuddle, Luke.

It's the former. The author wanted a suitably punny, somewhat original name for the planet as a whole.
I'd say that's a step in the right direction.
While I was expecting lewd antics, I am more than happy to have my expectations dashed in this instance. This is quite possibly the cutest and most heartfelt thing I have ever read, and I find myself asking why I did not start reading this sooner. I can only say that I'm in love with this story, and I can't wait to see future chapters!
Must have moooooorrrrreeeee!!!!!
Has he enlightened anyone to the nature of sirens in human mythology? Because that's where his nervousness is coming from. To hear the song of a Earthly siren is to suffer a cruel death; he's had that fact stuck in the back of his mind this entire time.
daww dats cute AF
Perhaps he should explain to her the soul eating, bone crunching, flesh munching, brain destroying monstrosities the sirens of our myths and legends happen to be. It would go a long way to explaining why he instantly thought she would want to hurt him
Thats a lot of floors I mean that building has more of them than burj kalifa I find it hard to believe that ponies could construct this, even with magic
Ah! The developments! This is a tonic.
Awesome! Great feels and hot pony snuggles!

That's a pretty good guess.
Yes, but it's not like he's going to be standing with her the whole time, he'll be on the sidelines for the bits she's actually presenting.

Thanks.

Nope, as 9068855 said, bad pun is bad, but it's a pun I happen to like.

Okay, so you guys have pretty much the same argument, and judging by all the comment upvoting, a few others are in agreement. Well, I got curious and did a little research on the human interpretation of a siren, and I didn't find all that much evidence to suggest that a siren's voice actually kills people, or that they eat souls, crunch bones, munch flesh or destroy brains. It seems to be more a case of sailors becoming entranced by the voice, forgetting to steer their ships, and crashing into the island of Anthemoessa, in Greek mythology, at least.
Granted, it wasn't an in depth search, just a few minutes and a handful of websites.
I did, however, add this bit to the chapter:
As you can see, it doesn't really do much to slow Fleur down.

It's only twelve more than the Burj Khalifa.
You understand what magic is, right? It's literally magic. Think of the possibilities, man! An extra twelve floors on the human race's current best efforts would be a piece of cake to the right team of unicorn engineers.
Well I don't know about bone crunching and brain destroying, but I can easily picture Adagio steering a ship to crash because she wanted food now and how nice it was that the food has arrived. She was never a particularily caring individual, recently after her unwilling arrival it would only get worse. Every story, every legend has to start somewhere.

Well its true that hey can do a lot with magic, but if we go by what i have seen in the show, im surprised that castle still stands on the mountainside
Does Luke consider Fleur and her inner siren to be separate entities the way Fleur does?
He hasn't really properly introduced himself to Siren-Fleur, has he?
Has Siren even said a word to him yet?
A good chapter indeed. I like the addition of the 'on Earth' perspective. I think it makes the snuggle scene more poignant and help put Luke's mind at ease. I can even see it leaving Luke open to consider the "love at first sight" pull that he feels even without the siren's presence. Good stuff BikerPon3. I look forward to reading the next chapter.

Well, according to my research (about 5 minutes on wikipedia) the Burj Khalifa has 156 useable floors, with the remainder being service levels. These top floors are apparently 800-ish feet lower than the highest point of the building, so theoretically, the J'adore building is still shorter than the Burj Khalifa because it only has 2 more floors rather than 800 extra feet of spire. I mean, I doubt the ponies would risk such a safety hazard as a massive airship obstacle in the middle of an airship dock.
But that still leaves 2 questions:
How does J'adore compare to Canterlot Castle itself? How far up can the ponies go, especially in such a limited area as a cliffside city?
Speaking of... how tall is Canterlot Mountain itself? We're talking a - say - 1900 foot tall building, potentially with even taller buildings nearby, perched on the side of a mountain. I suppose Half Dome in Yosemite rises 5000 feet from the valley floor, so in its case, Canterlot could be place 2000 feet up, and still have plenty of room to not overtop the mountain itself. We're talking really, damned tall though...
The bane of ALL universes, people that just can't seem to understand the simple concept of knocking, waiting for the people on the other side to announce that the may enter, and THEN go into the room.
I've had a lot of fun reading this story. Thank you for posting.
I can't wait to see if Luna will be in the next chapter. This was running around in my head.
Later that day in the royal box at the Wonderbolt Derby.
"So, how have thing been since we last spoke?"
Fleur snapped her eyes towards Celestia at the question. Luna, sitting nearby, also turned her ears towards the two. After a pregnant pause, Luna decided to take a long and loud drink from her soda straw causing everyone to slowly look at her.
After finishing the contents, Luna gave one last heavy draw, slurping the remnants just as loudly. Finally, she released a satisfied ahh. "What?" she asked innocently. "We enjoy this beverage."
I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED MOOOOOORE!
(Loving the story man! A very interesting take on Fleur that I am loving to pieces!)
I don't quite get it.
He admits that's he's afraid of her.
She yells at him, admits that's shes killed a lot more than he thought, belittles him for even being afraid in the first place...
And then he just kinda... talks himself into not being afraid? Or what?
Luke's reaction of fear is quite understandable. The siren has been labeled a "demon", which even by Equestrian standards means "bad guy", and by human standards means "a creature that wants to destroy you either mentally, physically, or spiritually, and usually all three at the same time". Furthermore, this is a being that sprouts fangs and uses mind control powers the moment Luke walks in to the room. That's freakin' frightening, and Luke has every right to be scared on an evisceral level, even if his intellect knows otherwise. And his response to Fleur's irrational behavior is very off-putting, considering his instinctive reactions are entitrely reasonable. At the very least he should reply with some anger of his own and telling Fleur off right back to her. Then both could take a moment and realize they let their emotions get out of control and their reconciliation would be more natural than the forced feeling resolution we got.
A bit disappointing.
So uhh did autocorrect changed Equestria/Equus to Equador?
Twice the bodily inhabitants twice the energy consumption. It’s the same with pregnancy
Not sure I left a comment on this story when I was last here reading about a year ago, but I do enjoy rereading it. It’s good. I was going thru a reread phase and the recent update just made me push this up on the reread list. Ofc i read the new chapter first before rereading like a based motherfucker
Well, if the stock goes down, then that means it'll go back up eventually... time to buy stock in J'adore, I guess, seeing as Crypto has been kinda so-so as of late.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: *Force ghost slowly appears* "Luke! Grab her butt! Cuddling like that is a great time to grab bu- Wait a second. You're not Luke Skywalker. Wrong Luke. I'm terribly sorry." *Force ghost Obi-Wan fades away*
I'm loving these phrases!
Almost like Little Pip's foul mouth.
