Cool start, however, you said Trillion people moving in. Is that an exaggeration or does the story have a trillion humans? If so, this isn't very realistic. Just putting it out there.

It's a refreshing change to see the EoH as heroes instead of the xenocidal pricks they're usually depicted as in TCB.

The radiation poisoning thing is interesting, but really we get enough of that stuff from radiation in other stories.
To me, magic has always been an over the top kind of thing, so when I started writing my TCB story I decided to make the effect it has on humans a bit over the top as well.
Hence, exploding in a cacophony of guts, gore, and blood.
Also, it makes Twilight's task a bit more difficult, she has no testing opportunity because when humans come into contact with such pure magic it causes them to explode.
This gives the unicorns a huge advantage against humans, which will be covered later. Unicorn magic isn't as powerful as the concentrated magic of the barrier, but there have been injuries.
This forces the HLF to resort to guerrilla tactics, often, when they are out in the field the unicorns are the first targets.
As I like to say whenever I play Dragon Age, "MAGE DIES FIRST!"

That's one of the avenues that Twilight is pursuing, and the most plausible one, because at this point stopping the barrier would only accomplish so much, and separating the worlds would require too much magic.
If she can get humans to be able to utilize magic like the unicorns, and create mages, that would be the easiest solution.

oh yea i have got to say the first chapter put me off, but after that i found myself saying " wow this isint some bullshit story saying 'Ponies are teh best they do no wrong' " good job not making a biased Tcb fic.
First CB story Ive ever read, so idk the 'good' 'great' or 'horrible' standards for it, but I'm guessing his belongs in the 'great' one.

That video is a prime example about how war aint pretty but you have to live with it and keep on trukin. The video was very thought provoking and fit the theme of how ugly the conversion process truly is. Good chapter it also explains what they fight for cant wait for more.

My best guesses are both Luna and Cadence are for helping the humans without turning them.
Likely Luna disagreed with her sister and after multiple arguments Celestia had her locked up claiming she was Nightmare Moon again.
Then Twilight had her realization sometime later.
Cadence probably heard the truth about Twilight's idea and told Shining Armor but was then arrested before she could elaborate.
Now poor Shining Armor is left confused and filled with heartache with nothing else to do but continue his job.
