True Love

Discord sat awake on the couch, he had one of the most confusing things in the universe on his mind; his crush on two different mares; Fluttershy and Celestia.They were both beautiful, they were both his friends, and they both enjoyed his Chaos(At least when it wasn't out of control).he went over the pros and cons list

Celestia
Pros: Beautiful, Powerful, regal, and a bit of a prankster( Longer was known)

Cons: Often Boring, Too fair

Fluttershy
Pros: Ethereal, kind,(First friend ever)caring and likes tea

Cons: Almost too kind for her own good, Keeps Angel Bunny

Discord read the list over and over again, after reading it for about the thousandth time, he growled in frustration, and ripped it up, he didn't know what to do, he knew he had a crush on both of the mares, but he only loved ONE.He thought and thought, and the more he thought about it, the surer he was, two hours later, he was sure he knew the answer.

Fluttershy paced around in circles inside her home, it was her tea-day with Discord, but this time, she was EXTREMELY nervous.Today was the day that she would tell him how she felt, ever since the Tirek incident, she had never been more closer to him, and it been a MOON since that happened, she was finally ready, today was the day she would open her heart up to Discord.

She got out their favorite tea, and started baking their teacakes, Discord would bring the cucumber sandwiches, she argued to herself whether or not she should do her mane, she decided to keep it the way it was she waited patiently for her friend to arrive.Suddenly she felt the urge to go out to her mailbox, she went outside and opened it, Discords head poked out

"Surprise!!!" he exclaimed, Fluttershy let out a gasp, Discord chuckled as he squeezed himself out of the mailbox, he smiled at her

"Hows my BESTEST friend doing?" he asked happily

"I-I'm fine,......There's actually something I need to tell you" she said shyly

"Can we have our tea first?" asked Discord

"Oh,...sure," she said, Discord snapped his fingers and they both appeared in their seats inside the cottage, they talked about the usual, Discord told her his funny jokes, and Fluttershy told him about her adventures with her friends until it was sunset, Discord abruptly stood up and said

"Well dear, not that this hasn't been fun, but I need to get going, there is something very important that I need to do in Canterlot"

"Since when do you do something that's IMPORTANT?" asked Fluttershy raising an eyebrow

"Well, this is important to ME dear, so it's something that I MUST tend to, Ta-Ta," he said waving goodbye he threw a smoke bomb on the ground and disappeared, Fluttershy sighed, she didn't tell him, after a while, despite what her conscious told her, she decided to go to Canterlot.

Discord breathed in and out as he was about to knock on the door to Celestia's room, he had a bouquet of roses in his hands.

"Come on Discord,......you can do this," he said nervously to himself, he then knocked on the door. Celestia answered it

"Discord,.......how nice for you to come over,.....but what is your reason?" she asked

"Hello Celestia,.....I have something to tell you,......M-May I come in?" he asked nervously

"Yes," she said after a little while, Discord walked in without magic, trying to impress her, Celestia sat down and poured him tea, Discord sat on the opposite side, facing her.

"Now, what is it that you wish to tell me?" asked Celestia

"Can we catch up first?it has been a while"

"Very well" chuckled Celestia.

Fluttershy walked up to Celestia's door, she was about to knock and ask if the princess knew where Discord was, when she heard Discords voice inside the room, after scolding herself several times, she opened the door just a skoosh, luckily the others didn't notice.

Celestia laughed after hearing one of Discord jokes, she couldn't help herself, Discord laughed along with her, then he cleared his throat

"Celestia? Remember that thing I needed to tell you?"

"Yes, what might that be?"

Discord held out the roses

"Celestia, I thought you were beautiful the day I met you, but you controlled order, instead of chaos, so I tried to overthrow you, but when I got reformed, I couldn't ignore it,......I love the way your mane flows, and I love that fact that you sometimes like to pull pranks, and well,....I've had you on my mind for a little while and,.......Well, I love you"

Celestia's eyes widened, she pawed the ground nervously.

"Discord,........I do think you're funny, and I do enjoy your chaos at times,.....but,.....I'm sorry to say that I,..............I cannot return your feelings,....You must understand that I do love you,.....but only as a friend"

Discords heart broke into almost the tinest pieces in the world,......he couldn't believe it,....she didn't love him?The roses he had in his paw wilted. He managed to hold back the tears, and answer calmly

"That's,........T-That's fine,........but thanks anyway" when he looked back Celestia was gone

She must have teleported he thought, he was about to open the door when he heard sniffling outside the door, then he heard hoofsteps galloping away, he opened the door to see who it was, much to his horror it was Fluttershy, he saw the tears rain down her face, he held out his paw

"Fluttershy WAIT!!!" he shouted across the corridor, but she didn't hear him, once she was outside, she flew away as fast as she could, Discord saw her leave, he shifted to the ground, he had chosen wrong,... he now knew that he loved Fluttershy,.......but now it was too late.

If you do do a time skip maybe a few months to a year, make more sense that way.

Well, even concerning matters of love, I think Discord could do to be a bit more Discordy. It's an interesting story idea, but when you said that he made the wrong-decision in the summary kind of took a bit of the air out of the story-I think it's a little better when it's a surprise. All in all, the idea is good, but you could spend some more time on this. Also, a lot of times you missed some periods and commas at intense scenes, which took a little air out of those. I'd like to see a sequel, but it'd be nice if you could double check your punctuations and stuff and put a little more time in it. Keep practicing!
