Dreams are often gateways into our innermost feelings, emotions, and memories.

Starlight, since becoming Twilight's pupil, has been experiencing dreadfunightmares from memories she had previously been able to supress through her "Equality Movement" and determination to get revenge on Twilight Sparkle for taking away her "Perfect Town".

Using her dream powers, Princess Luna helps Starlight Glimmer cope with her past so she can move on without shame, remorse, or pain from past events.

The story is so heartfelt. Beautiful.:fluttercry::pinkiehappy: Love the story so far. :pinkiehappy:

Thank you. I'm trying to create a believable back story that would have brought Starlight to not like "Cutie Marks", create "Equal Town", and get to where she was obsessed with getting revenge on Twilight.

I should be posting the rest of the story by the end of the week. My goal is to really illustrate how important it is to cope with your past so you don't feel shame, regret, or sadness for what you may not have known better, or had control over, back in the day. :)

Thank you. :) I should have more of the story up soon.

Very heartfelt love it.:pinkiehappy:

Thank you. I'm hopeful it will continue to be a heartfelt and insightful read as the story moves onward in Starlight's life. :)

Does this story have diapers in it?

Yes. Primarily Chapters 2 and 3 to represent "Foal Starlight".

There is a very strong significance for "Foal Starlight". However, it only starts coming together in late Chapter 4 onward..

What a strange start. Guess Starlight had family issues back in the past. Can't wait to see where this crazy emotional trainwreck goes.:raritywink:

Interactive dreams? Hmm. Interesting concept. :scootangel: Guess Luna's really letting Starlight take the reins on this one.

I remember how some folks in the community mentioned how Princess Celestia may have the ability to see into the future to some extent. So, with this in mind, I thought why couldn't Princess luna be able to use her dream powers to help dig deeper into the minds of Ponies whose troubles may go back further than a present day problem?

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. It's deeply appreciated.

I thank you very kindly for the honest critique on my writing ability. It helps me to be more thoughtful as I strive to be an even stronger author both personally and on FiM Fiction. :)

I'll definitely seek out someone to help me proof my next work for here. I may know some people who can aid me in making what everyone reads the best it can be.

I'm most humbled by your thoughts on the overall story. I was worried it may come off a bit too dark, or potentially cause a reader to have ill-feelings from how I presented a timeline of events to potentially explain why Starlight was how she once was.

I've gone through numerous traumas in my life as a result of being born with a degenerative eye disease that nearly has me totally blind right now. I've gone through therapy for years to cope with this, along with processing memories that once brought me a lot of pain. Particularly those of feeling less of an individual for how my disability often caused me to experience varying degrees of discrimination.

The point I have most investment in is foal Starlight and filly Starlight. I try to remind myself that, no matter how hard things may get, or how difficult and unfair life may be, there's always an unjaded part inside ready to help remind me to calm down, see the brighter side of life, and not let my frustrations consume what, I know deep inside, make me a worthwhile person despite my condition, past mistakes, or what people have unfairly judged me by. :)

Wow nice writing. I can definitely feel it.

so far this is an amazing story. Good job. Cant wait to read the rest

What it comes down to in the show is that Starlight would have removed her mark. If she was able to. It had nothing to do with wanting to be more equal than others or control. If she tried to take her mark off, her magic would fail and it would just fly back on. Meaning she ended up an outsider in her very own town, because that was the only way it could have happened.

Remember how no pony could do advanced magic without their mark? Removing a mark seems like very advanced magic.

Its amazing how many fans ignore this fact.

Plus the fact that ponies are not humans. They don't take these situations the same way as a human. Unlike humans, ponies are a herd animal and actually need a close connection with another being. Otherwise they develop psychological problems and bad habits. How Starlight acted was completely justified if someone actually read on how ponies are. Hasbro and DHX did their homework on the matter.

Again you have me in tears. I could tell before reading the comments that you had lived this in some form. As painful as it was, it was also a pleasure to read. Sometimes you must journey into the dark to find the light. You write from the heart, with vision and self awareness, and that makes the best stories.

awww adult starlight taking care of her foal self
