Bonus: Family Party

Even though there were only eleven out of the twelve invited guests, Luna was having a lot of fun. All the people she cared about most were there. Her sister, her adoptive niece and her husband, Twilight Sparkle and her friends, and Spike. Although Blueblood was invited, he didn’t have time to come to his adoptive aunt’s birthday party. He was busy preparing for an event that was going to take place later that week.

Oh well, Luna thought. At least he wanted too.

The party had just begun when Celestia pulled Luna to the side.

“What do you need, Celestia?” Luna asked.

“To give you your gift. I didn’t get the chance to last night,” Celestia answered. She then gave a box to Luna. It had simple navy wrapping paper.

“Tia…”

“Open it when you’re ready,” was Celestia’s response as she went headed back towards the rest of the guests. Luna had waited until she couldn’t see her sister, then carefully unwrapped the gift.

Inside the box was a simple crescent necklace.

Luna lifted it out of the box so as to study it. She turned it over. What was engraved on the back made her cry.

I love you to the moon and back.

The simple gift from her sister was the one Luna loved the most out of all the things she got that night.

Cadence and Shining got her some rock candy.
And Spike got her a comic book.

For a story written within an hour, it's still pretty good. I have taken days and months even to write something decent of any fandom, and most times I delete it the day after posting as I can't stand seeing it
