Perfect chapter as always~
Aww... and I thought I would see Trixie show off her specialties. I mean, a couple of field tests just to amaze Antonius.
Is there artwork for this dress?
I can't wait for Cassius to get to equestria. He will be screaming heresy and trying to kill Princess Luna and Princess Cadance.

I can't wait for the action to cook up again. But these comical chapters are good too.
You Smell that? That My friend is 100% Prima USDA Approved Heresy.
What sort of fresh Heresy is this?!
10422902
next action is gonna be the testing of something just wait, :P
You used prove in a few places when the correct word is proof
Slaanesh, "*choking* Harder daddy"
Emperor, "WHAT?!"
10423139
Chambering unicorns into weapon enplacements and calling them lascannons
10423161
that could be, XD
10423118
come on, the humans in WH40 must at least have some resemblse of Dipolmacy...... right?
10423442
Ignore him. He's part of the Ordo Hereticus. They think everything is heresy. They think bending your left knee to the Emperor instead of your right is heresy.
10423442
They do, read War of Secrets and Blackstone Fortress, it goes over some parts of Imperial diplomacy with xenos. And no, that doesn't just mean killing xenos, usually involves making a deal such I kill this target you can't kill, while you kill this target that I can't kill.
10423566
crazyheads,
10423600
that doesn't sense really, but okey,
10423629
Indeed.
10423630
It's why I suggested reading it, as it does show you how imperial factions negotiate with xenos.
10423731
i think i might do,
10423825
Take note, it's still a 40k book involving space marines, so lots of fighting is still involved, but we do get one of the few in book instances of diplomacy, and how a certain chapter deals with those of their own they don't like.
10423915
great,
OMG that last part was gold antonius yean i would tefinetly not "try take it i would claim you're hole nastion"
and cant wait un till the others arrive that would be fun after all warp travel in unpredictabel it can take from a few month to many many many years to get to there destinastions
How is 12 pony sized armor suits enough to defend against chaos? At least to a degree significant enough to call an international summit? On top of that why didn't Varus just show pict and vid feeds of the events of Hope instead of getting a pony to flash her wounds at nobles?
hey, that guard was pulling a Shultz!

What are you talking about?

A job in the mechanicus ship, not a race. Do i really need to quote from 40k book to show a single profession?
from "forges of mars"
And this is book is set in 41 millenium, and not in great crusade.
Well, finally finished reading this.
I liked the story, and I'll be following it, but Varus really doesn't act that much like a Space Marine.
I could see a Guardsman acting that way, but Space Marines are fundamentally changed on a mental level.
Silversteel: they probably just intimidated another nation because Imperium of man is run by space communists, sounds wonderful.

She makes her own smoke bombs? Please direct me to an example of this. Also, smoke bombs are incredibly, hilariously different to fireworks or other explosives. All you really need for a smoke bomb is a breakable container and a chemical combo that creates expanding gas, preferably when exposed to air. A firework by comparison, is a literal explosive, requiring careful combinations of chemicals to create a controlled and directed series of detonations to generate lift. Same principles rockets use, just with different, extremely less volatile chemical reactions.
You can’t compare smoke bombs to fireworks because they’re two completely different things by virtue of the fact that one explodes and the other simply expands.
For the same reason you wouldn’t let someone who makes toy guns build real guns, I personally don’t think Trixie - even if she did make her own smoke bombs - shouldn’t be working with explosives. If she built her own fireworks, I’d still say no, because fireworks all require the same basic amount of chemicals, building explosives, bullets and other such things require varying amounts of chemicals. It’s one thing to recreate something you know, it’s another to create something you don’t.

Not really. It depends entirely on the Chapter and it's own psycho-indoctrination procedures. Ultramarines are generally depicted as mostly normal humans in character but with a larger-than-life perspective due to being superhuman providing an almost Heroic Age grandiosity to them. This is fitting with their super-soldier theme over the super-warrior theme most other Chapters possess. The First Founding Chapters in general tend to be largely human and relatable as people barring some exceptions like the Iron Hands. Also, the knowledge of chemistry and other things used in building her own fireworks would definitely enable her to make smoke bombs.

There are literally smoke bomb fireworks. I've used them. You are thinking of "fireworks" in an incredibly narrow view instead of how the word is actually used in real life. You can literally get gas fireworks.

I'm sorry, but did you just imply that you bend the wrong knee in supplication to the Emperor?
*BLAM!*
10438483
It's super ultra xenophobic hyper-religious space nazis. Don't compare our great Imperium to the blue berries!
Now if you excuse me, I must go and snitch you out to the arbites in hopes of a pat on the head and hopes of an extra quarter of that delicious corpse dust bar.
Corpse dust bars, contains all the Emperor approved nutrients required for all hive dwelling factorum workers.
Seems kind of odd that they didn't demand buy-in of some kind in return for the metal, like, say, the next N officers of the PDF will be Saddle-Arabian. I suppose there's enough time for them to come back and just happen to suggest that.
Magical propellant? Let malfunction prone propellant? Both? While explosive shotgun pellets would fit with the "real.world engineers such as myself are skeptical or worse" aspect of 40k, he never mentioned anything like that to her... could be that she read ahead to that part of the plans, but I doubt it. I only mention it because if I am wrong then she might have looked up beanbag rounds, or invented/adapted their magical equivalent.
After further reading: Ah, so she just wasn't taking "blow up" completely literally. Also, I don't get how he can still be totally against the idea using the blue rounds against Pony cultists, and still be willing to associate with Trixie. True she probably wasn't corrupted in the same specific way, but it seems weird. Is there something about 40k I'm misunderstanding?
Yay trixi is one of my fav. I hope she will be appear more from now on ^^
Damnd xD xD
Thats one way to kill a god xD
Antonius would need... a few days if he needed the steel fast xD
It's times like these Equestria should be grateful the Reasonable Marines arrived first, rather then say, the Black Templars.
