it must be said, war...war never changes...
Tony tony tony you keep calling them traitors. Their not traitors they thought they were saving equestria that after the mind control was removed celestia would lead them against the real bad guys making them heroes. I think the term used should be fanatic someone whose view is the only correct one and will react violently to anyone whose view is different or calls theirs into question like for example the astartes .. *cough cough*. Also tony you killed a tortured practically incapacitated unicorn the guards could take away and another one who was cowering on the ground. I'm pretty certain you let your anger cloud your judgement is a better excuse rather then trying to justify murdering everything that goes against your upbringings teachings. Now chrysalis was a threat that needed to die shes a invader...but twilight is taking responsibility for the clusterf*** you knows gonna happen ... when it does i hope he lords it over the ponies.
Angron and Magnus want to know your location.

Only it's nature doesn't change, but the way and reasons do change.
10031045
thats not the point...
10031208
Doesn't make it any less valid.
Everypony else, I can relate, since they usually don't wear/carry anything. But I expect at least Applejack to keep it inside her hat or Pinkie to hide it inside her mane.
10030709
And you think he will be spared?
Fine print isn't something they are known for ...
10030900
He says this all the while been incredibly hypocritical. He breaks imperial laws and codes switch some of them are placed by emperor himself. while building a army of xenos and powerful xeno artifacts to him to use.
10032114
Well... You're quite right there, just hope an inquisitor doesn't get an scent about all of this
kind of hope antonius would gone exsterminatus on the queen but meh and he better rant the girls out from forgeting geting there pda to give him vital information
I like this chapter, I really do, but I absolutely hate how stupid twilight was in this chapter, besides that, loved it, and happy to see this story going, please keep up the good work

Typical son of Gulliman. You think he knows his dad is boning an Eldar?
This chapter alone has now confirmed that this story has parts of the comic series in it, so I'm now expecting a return of Sombra after S3 sometime soon.
Commander Boreale, what are you doing in Equestria? Tryin' to steal some Ultramarines artifacts?
10032615
I think Guilliman is keeping that as a secret from everyone.

You‘re not wrong.
But unfortunately the Imperium doesn’t see it that way. If you act against it, you’re a traitor no matter why. Even if your intentions are the right ones.
Example: The Cardinal(?) who sparked the Siege of Vraks was in a similar mindset, he thought that treacherous Forces tried to kill him and prevent that he may go on a holy crusade for the emperor to cleanse an entire sector. Granted he was fed lies and kinda manipulates into that, but he thought for years into the fight that he was right.
Ultimately, who is traitor is a matter of perspective and actions that are taken.
And of course who can kill the other faster.
10033789
True. Though he's probably going to be proud of Tony if this turns into one of ...those fics.
10030709
Nah, Khorne would just stuff him. But Tzeentch...or Slaanesh
Magic empowering comet? Does it have a twin tail? The End Times are near!
One minor nitpick is that even girlyman said his book is a guideline. It wasn't meant to be holy scripture.
10047907
Right, although that quote seemed obsolutely forgotten by the next generations. Maybe now he can beat some sense on his wayward children
Is it weord that I imagined the troll as having the voice of Indrick Boreale?
"I will safe my tantrum" save?
That isn’t true in the slightest. Killing threats to your life or prosperity isn’t going to make you some sort of murder-machine. It won’t tempt you to kill for lesser reasons. Because you’re not killing to get what you want, you’re killing to get what you need. Which also prevents the killing from being a first response as conflict risks what you need and risks making more enemies and resistance to fulfilling your needs. Even the Imperium of all places understands this deeply.
An infinite number of harmful peoples’ lives are not worth one innocent life. Why risk innocents to avoid killing the very things threatening those innocents’ lives? What I gathered from this is that Celestia doesn’t care about however many or few of her subjects are harmed, killed, or worse. So long as she feels her hooves are clean, she does not care what happens. Oh she’ll feel bad for them and all, but she views killing those enemies as “doing evil to evil is still doing evil” instead of “it’s evil because it’s happening to innocents, so doing it to evil is not evil” of the human moral beliefs.
How about this, ponies: he will let threats live but if they do something harmful again you will be punished alongside those threats as you would be responsible due to knowing they were going to just come back again.

Somewhat. The Imperium has a very simple view of treason: if your actions compromise humanity’s security, you’re a traitor even if you broke no laws. That Cardinal for example was trying to launch a crusade that would have drained and perhaps crippled Imperial military force in that region, which is why he was refused. He then took actions that had the same result, which was treasonous not because he went around the higher ups’ decision but because of the consequences. Those consequences are why Vraks was besieged and why he was declared a traitor well before Chaos’s involvement was known.

They made no attempt to determine whether or not their beliefs were true. They also made up their beliefs with no reason to have them. That they were created is no reason to believe they’d be enslaved or something. They wanted to be the heroes, to pat themselves on the back and feel like they were special and the true power in their world. That is their real motivation. To be “an hero”.
10030900
Not really. You forgot that the Great Crusade Imperium was mostly the modern Imperium with atheism instead of the Imperial Cult (and just as prone to burning religious people as the current Imperium burns heretics) but with more advanced technology. Angron and co are indeed products of their society. Also, you forgot that they were raised by their worlds to adulthood well before they ever encountered the Imperium.
How this should have ended.
...a hundred virtual cookies to whoever guessed where the reference comes from.
May the force... oh wait wrong franchise xD
I know that somewhere... oooooh... right...
Wait, what? XD
Hehehehe Logik...
Nnngh so good writen! I... F... love... it!

I now hear Chrysalis talking in Cato Sicarius's TTS voice... Somehow fitting.
"I QUEEN CHRYSALIS, MOST GLORIOUS COMMANDER OF THE CHANGELING EMPIRE, AM THE MOST PERFECT ORGANISM TO EVE-"
gets ultra-fisted
(don't take that out of context)
10701452
Is that from if the emperor had a text to speech device?
Aw man they are attempting to make him weak, and it's working.
