Is this the story of King Thrushbeard in the Grimm Fairy Tales? I was looking through all the stories this one time and that one particularly stood out because of this story plot: thought it would be a good one for Diamond Tiara being the princess after her change in crusaders of the lost mark
Or is it the Gone with the Wind reference you mentioned, don't know that plot so I wouldn't recognise it.
Imagine if canon Fluttershy said this in an episode, or someone said it where she could hear.

Yeah, Diamond Tiara is a brilliant choice for the Princess, but you see, I just wrote that story on the spur of the moment, so I just immediately thought of Rarity (sorry all you Rarity fans out there)

Well if you are going for the fairy tale theme with your stories, I read a book recently based off another Grimm's fairy tale which I loved. The tale is called the Six Swans I think or something like that, about a girl who has to save her six brothers when they are turned into swans, might be interesting to read a pony version of it...
If you like romance, maybe try and adapt some famous romantic couples. I'd recommend looking up couples like Ines de Castro and King Pedro, or Sakuntala and Dushyanta. Their love stories seem so beautiful when I read them. I did consider the latter couple for a fanfic once, with Fluttercord, but right now I'm considering a Goose Girl version for them.
The story is interesting and I am enjoying it. The only error I see is that you gave too much information away in the story. If Blueblood wanted revenge against Fluttershy, I don't think he would say anything except 'I will have my revenge against you!'
Muffins' revelation of Blueblood would have been placed appropriately later in the story (during a climax scene) so that at that point, Fluttershy (and the readers) will be shocked and realized why he was doing these terrible things.
I enjoyed the Gone with Wind reference!

If you're talking about the 6 Swans then yeah it is a Grimms fairy tale: there are so many different stories though that have similar storylines that maybe you've heard of something similar that there probably is one from Hans Christian Anderson. But the 6 Swans that I know is a Grimms fairy tale. The other 2 I mentioned are just little love stories I found when searching the internet one time.
I like that there are some differences from the original story, and let me guess, will the rest of the mane 6 be looking for her while she's with Discord? Although I do feel like this chapter was a bit rushed.

It was still an interesting chapter, but it is a good idea to improve chapters when they ever off a bit. I've found not many people will point you out on it though, a thing I can't tell is good or not.

The chapter felt a little bit rushed at the end. Some more descriptions would have been nice like SB's reaction to Fluttershy taking her place.
