However, they find that the time machine has taken them two thousand years into the past, and they don't have any fuel for the return trip. Now they are searching for a way to power the machine. So, in regards the translation spell. I know it looks like a lazy way out of having to write middle English for most everyone, but the main reason that I decided to do it was because I didn't want to force people to decipher middle English all throughout the entire story. The fact that I don't have to worry about writing it at all is just an added bonus for me.
