This story is a sequel to My Little Doctor Whooves: Horsing Around
Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack are now the newest passengers aboard the TARDIS with the newly regenerated Doctor. And for their first adventure, they go to one of the most important points in Equestria's history: the Fall of Discord.
But something's not right. Instead of being defeated, Discord is practically unstoppable. It's up to these time-traveling ponies to find out what went wrong and how to make it go right.

This is well done. You have Discord being intelligent, putting clues together, and getting an answer that makes perfect sense... but is wrong. And it's wrong in the right way. Discord's arrogance would naturally lead him to the assumption that images of himself causing chaos 1500 years from now means he's going to be around that whole time. (It's ironic, because this actually is the more logical conclusion, which means that under other circumstances Discord might have been a lot quicker to figure out that there are other possibilities... but this one hits close to home. If the logical, least complex and chaotic answer is "My life is going to be great for millennia", Discord's ego overrides his love of chaos and immediately assumes "Yeah, that one's right.") I also like the fact that he's portrayed as much more like the guy from the future that we all know than some wholly evil, corrupted, cackling maniac -- he still doesn't believe in killing, he still seems to think that ponies could learn to love chaos if they'd just give it a chance. He's definitely a villain, but not an irredeemable one, which makes sense given that in the future he will be reformed :-), but a lot of fans seem to like writing pre-stoning Discord as some kind of demonic monster, which never makes sense in the light of the fact that when he gets loose, he makes the sky rain flavored drinks and puts tutus on buffalos and does not try to kill his enemies.

Seriously, though, I'm glad you like him. I did try to capture that delightfully evil side of him that practically defines his character, even post-reformation. He's just not Discord unless you can laugh with him while he's being a jerk.

4111195 Well, once you have what actually happened becoming canon, "author interpretation" kinda becomes a tricky thing to work with. If it make you feel any better, though, I suppose my "interpretation" explains why Discord wasn't scared of the Elements.

Why would this story do any worse than the first edition of My Little Doctor Whooves? Actually I think this one should do even better, considering it's DISCORD. I meean, how could Discord ever be a bad thing?
Anyway, I just read the prologue so I can't really say anything just yet. If I find anything that might tell you why this one is "weaker" than your other stories, I will!
