You, sir/madam are either one of the best, or one of the worst authors I have ever read. It takes skill to write a story so poorly that I have to read it in chunks, alternating with bleach shots, but surround it by a perfect explanation, fully in character, of something I could see in the show.
In conclusion, you get a thumbs up. Never try to write that poorly again.

Leave it to Twilight to misunderstand the wordplay in a textbook. I do think the textbook she was reading from was a little... basic, for reference material. It didn't feel like something you'd see in a guide. But I imagine that was point, just so Twilight could read that stuff. How she's absolutely baffled by the entire topic too was a little unbelievable. I would have thought she'd have known something to do with genitalia, especially her own. Taken under Celestia's personal wing as a student or not, she still would have been taught it. Sex-ed can be considered mandatory, and I don't think Twilight would have been an exception, regardless of her position.
But then again, Twilight being clueless was the joke, which I'll admit, was pretty damn funny. Seeing her pretty much copy-paste the textbook into what she wrote was just genius. Especially that crane part. Oh god, that cracked me up.
This character should have been Maud. Seriously, everything this mare said was Maud. If you did that, Pinkie could have made some comment about Twilight using her sister too.
And I agree with Twilight. Researching anatomy with diagrams can get a little dodgy. You get a like for this. Good job.
