Thats very good start to some bigger story, sadly this is one shot. You could make from it something good, story about self reflection or something.

Yeah, I pretty much take on a "the comics don't matter" view of things both because the beginning of the comics seemed so illogical (why are they acting like zombies again?) and because it would be a lot harder to hold up my personal headcanon for...pretty much everything if I accepted them.

Erm, it's pretty much my own take on Chrysalis's leadership, which is that changeling power comes from conformity, but Chrysalis was too much of an individual to accept it, basically driving her mad and leading to her eventual rejection from the hive. It might, however, be debunked in the canon eventually. All the more reason to have written it now, I suppose.
Okay concept. Personally, I like stories with a bit more in the way of plot. Or at least with a bit more in the way of caring about the character is about (in my opinion, Chrysalis needs a lot in the way of building up to make me care for her).
I often thought a similar course of action must have taken place. Great story and telling.
4779020 Yeah, this was pretty much just a quick little burst of all the things I wanted to say about Chrysalis with no real tension or anything. No plot involved. A "bathtub story"--something I've been taught not to do, but...the headcanon made me.
