I am a long way from home. I have been asked to live among ponies for a time yet unspecified so we might learn from each other. I have chosen to accept this assignment for our mutual benefit.. This is the story of my attempt to live among ponies so we may learn from each other. I am just hoping not to cause mass hysteria.

This story will not be adhering to any set schedule due to my job and personal life. This is a fun project that I will do on my time.

Yay, Dungeons and Dragons style Dragon in My Little Pony! Very interesting. I can't wait to see if he's woken up by CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS DRAGON SLAYERS YAY! A crowd of ponies with pitchforks and torches chanting "kill the monster", or something else.

I loved the CMC trying to be dragon riders, pure cuteness. I think Sparky will enjoy spending time with them and possibly helping in some crusades... or scaring Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon to the point they pass out for messing with his friends. I almost pity any monsters from the Everfree that decide three fillies would make a good snack.
Well, I just hope Spike doesn't learn the truth about Rarity and Fluttershy by walking in on them kissing or something. I can totally see Sparky grabbing a bag of holding and Twilight being disappointed about the amount of books until he dumps the books out and they keep coming.

Once he gets back from his trip with Rarity, he will be spending some more time with the CMC. I have also been rolling a D20 on a few of these checks. Of course, it's kinda hard to fail with the stats of an adult dragon. It made it interesting that I had to roll a precise 15 in order to not put a hole through a tree but still hit it hard enough to be effective. I rolled 4 times, got a natural 20 but no 15's. I took the 20 as a spectacular failure. Hence, we got to see a dragon rip a tree out of the ground in frustration. Thanks for reading so far. I will have a new chapter tomorrow morning.

Nice chapter, I liked Sparky's lair and I love the idea there might be a nice blue dragoness out there. I can totally see her and Sparky getting into an argument due to their time apart only to work together when some other threat presents itself and gets zapped by both dragons.

While that was a good movie, I took no inspiration from it. This story is being told from a dragon's POV. Give it a read, you might like it.

I'm getting the feeling Sparky has some Troll in him. I can totally see him in his true form being a living jungle gym for the school foals.
Sparky plus happy fillies = happy reader. I like this chapter, I hope Sparky gets asked to demonstrate his lightning breath for the foals. I expect loud "OOOOOHHHHHHHH" and "AHHHHHHHH!"s from the display of spit lightning.

Poor Sparky, I guess ODing on Zap Apple Jam is something he'll need to warn his siblings about and save the jam for emergencies, like if he has to fight another dragon to protect Ponyville. I'm glad Twilight is confident they can get Scootaloo flying, I want to see if she can do a Rainboom!!
It's... addicting, and it seems underrated. I would definitely recommend to friends. In fact, my only problem with the story is that I seem to have run out. Do see about fixing that error, won't you?
As for the story, so far I would say that it's great, if a little short. That will be fixed in time, no doubt. (I could read 250k words easily in an afternoon if it's something that really caught my interest like this did.)
I can't catch any real flaws other than the lack of a 10 page dossier about dragon magic and the mythos involved in your little story, though coming up with such things is one of my hobbies, so I can excuse it.

I'm currently writing the next chapter, so It shouldn't be too long. As for the mythos and abilities of Sparky, I am pulling a great deal from D&D, with a few show elements thrown in. His ability to send scrolls, for example. If you like, you can check out the stats of a standard Bronze Dragon here. I am taking a few liberties with his ability to polymorph. D&D actually calls the ability "Alternate Form." You can find the basics of this ability here. I hope this answers any questions you may have about Sparky thus far.
