My heart leaps in the way of the scream trying to force it’s way out my throat resulting in a strangled gurgle as I look at your pale mockery or a face.

“Welcome back, Spike” You chirp, putting me at ease. Your voice is still the same, even though the rest of you seems to have died and decomposed.

My expression must have been just as effective as actually asking the question because you furrow your brow for only a moment before breaking out into giggles.

“Oh, Spike, don’t worry silly, it’s just clay!”
