He hadn’t believed his ears, and then thought that his mind was playing tricks on him. But here he was, sitting in the living room of carousel boutique with his beau-to-be smiling at him and making small talk.

He mumbles his way through it all, both afraid and eager to see what happens next. And then she moves from the inane babble to more sensual topics, eventually arriving at kissing.

His heart hammers in his chest as she moves closer, but before he can reach out and kiss her she holds him back with a hoof “Tout doucement, Spike, slowly.”
